Hello fellas.

I want to talk ( re : appreciate ) this show for being able to handle weight and the stigma that it comes with during wedding for a bride.

I know this has been done before but not this realistically dealth with. Ishqi is still herself and she would never change herself. Sarla aunty, dadi and co are just orthodox and can't think beyond specific measures but this whole track gave a message that all those brides who are pressurized to starve themselves before wedding - that it's INSANE.

No one should change themselves. I mean, it should not be a conservation but sadly we live in a society this is the reality of every other house.

Kudos to the leads for enacting such scenes in a way that it's not too OTT and still gives us the designed message.

Also I have noticed that they try to bring out different issues and notions and give a counter voice/ argument against it through the characters.

The show doesn't feel too heavy but still manages to be meaningful and Impactful ( esp Ishqi's resistance and questions )

I am glad Ahaan spoke out today. It was great. Slowly gradually he will see the wrongs around him.

And lastly, can we talk about how the show doesn't solely focuses on changing Ahaan's belief system but the progression of plot and all the characters in there.

( They have the typical ITV element through Sonu, Mayank and Marriage angle- but itna chalta hai xD )

I know this show is cheesy and uses tried and tested cliches. But I would take anything light and breezy and feelsy these days as content because God knows we need it in these tough times <3

I hope y'all keeping yourself safe and those around you.

And ( promise last and xD ) hype up the forum and show more, We can come in top 10. fingers crossed. ❤️

Agree 100%. I loved how they handled the weight issue. I liked how Ria first gives her a corset but admits to Ahaan that they are painful and girls have to do it.

Best was Ishqi's line - who decides what is overweight? she is happy about her body!!!! I wish more people had that confidence about their bodies.

YES YES. Exactly. I am glad Ishqi immediately questions things even when no one around her thinks the way she does. She doesn’t shouts about progressiveness and modernity BUT instead she speaks up about anything unfair and wrong that happens no matter where I comes from. Ishqi is love <3

I liked Rhea here. I hope she stays positive or just a cool character lol.

They are addressing all the social stigmas a girl is forced to go through before wedding.. Yes overweight is a medical issue that applies to everyone n not just girls.. Overweight n Underweight both should be treated with proper diet..

But here these aunties are behaving as if underweight is not a problem.. Ishqi is not fat.. She's little chubby n that's her body type.. But she's Fit n Healthy n that's what matters..

It was nice episode. I never find ishki overweight. I saw her in sub tv show bhakarwadi in that she was plumpy. But not now. Its really funny if anyone tells she is overweight.
