It's been a long time indeed! I missed your monkey and I can't wait to see what you write! I don't do as much analysis as I used to with PB, but after a long time a show has made me want to write about the characters. Still not as in-depth as PB because the writing is a bit different. I'm sure you know what I mean.

This show doesn't have the class of PB . The story is crap and execution is poor. I am tolerating only for ML and plus the chemistry between leads is great.

The show IS melodramatic, especially the start of it with the widow wala drama. I stuck around because I have a thing for South heroes and SKR is really hot Now I am hooked, despite Pallavi ki mahaanta.

RiAnsh - My goodness, I still don’t know who they were meant to be in the show 🤷‍♀️ That’s why I don’t watch it anymore. Riddhima started out fiery and then became a shivering leaf after the wedding and then something else and so on and forth as per convenience. You just can’t tell who both of them were at their core.

Any chance you are gonna start out with an 18+ piece? 😛

Loll, I skipped all the Pallavi & fam scenes. It was too much for me. Only watched Raghav Rao and man I was hooked. Yeahh! The South angle is one of the things that attracted me to the show and I love how they speak in Telegu and haven't tried to erase that part of him to make him more palatable to a Hindi audience. Even though I don't know some of the things that he's saying, it adds charm to him. 😆😳

Pallavi is way too dramatic for me. Half of the things she says bas kehne ke liye hoti hai. Actual mein kuch karti toh hai nahi. 😆 Would love to see her toughen up and give Raghav tit for tat.

Exactly! It has been more than 250 episodes and they're still running around in circles, keeping secrets from each other and whatnot.

Even the most basic of things, they got so wrong like their age, familial background etc. That whole parent track was so fcking useless. They made such a big deal out of Riddhima wanting to know the truth about her parents and guess what? They ended it without her even ever finding out what their names were. Like, the fck??? THIS is the woman that I'm supposed to rooting / supporting?? Like, fck off with that BS.

Forget it. I don't want to bring that hot mess here.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. It is a bit melodramatic compared to PB, and there are certain elements that are off, but in terms of parallels, there is some good material.

PB was on a totally different level. It's a shame that the show went down like that. It truly could have been one of the most iconic shows ever. As for MHRW, I don't expect it to be stellar. It's on SP, and Sikand had already said that he was going to cater his next show (in this case MHRW) towards the TRP audience. KHKT ki bhadaas hum par nikale ga. 😆

But yeah, I'm watching it for the main leads and the basic foundation of the show. Pallavi being a widow, Raghav Rao a Hyderabadi Don - they're quite appealing. Plus, their chemistry is on point. The scenes / dialogues could definitely be better, and hopefully they do improve.
