Agree. Its so funny- the way Malini's character has evolved, she has even demanded absolute attention from the makers/creators. With Malini's character the analogy to 'dementor' that I have seen mentioned several times is right- she has to suck up the attention, sympathy, and now even screen time lol
What I find striking is how in this day and age, at a time when the world is reeling due to a mass death event that has been going on since over a year, people still think that showing suicide on a character like Malini means she must be automatically sympathized with.
Yeh toh wohi baat ho gayi ki logon ki insaaniyat ko shield banaakar koi bhi crime kar lo....as long as you attempt suicide on the side, you get a free pass....cuz if you attempt suicide, that means you are by default a "tragic" figure who really is doing all this over "heartbreak". If someone points out the subconscious manipulative nature of doing a suicide by dressing up like a bride, then that person becomes insensitive....cuz if it's a suicide, everything gets a free pass....even if you found the time to dress up for your own suicide😕.
Once again, Malini's weakness is glorified in this show as being "justified" enough for her to say and do any manner of horrible things to others.....at the end of the day, she tried to kill herself so you must speak in hushed tones about her and dare you point out that she has treated Imlie like dirt when she saw fit and flipped when she wanted to play mahaan. We are all expected to have amnesia about her cuz she tried to commit suicide in dulhan outfit.
Even more amazingly, we aren't expected to feel anything for the people that are put through the emotional trauma and baggage regarding these acts from Malini....supposedly Malini is all "innocent" of the fallout regarding her actions as if she thinks everyone will actually be happy after she slyly taunts them before a suicide attempt and then proceeds to go and take her life....demanding till the very end that someone say I love you to her and then proceeding to try and play smiling martyr again.....as if the person committing suicide is the only one who gets any "insaaniyat" and regard....baaki sab logon ke trauma ki koi value nahin cuz again, suicide is above everything.....jo log zinda reh gaye, unke trauma ka koi matlab nahin it seems.
That is what they are currently showing....that attempting suicide gives you a free pass for life to not be questioned on anything....that attempting suicide suddenly makes all your "heartbreak" valid and everyone should sympathize with you and dare they point out the manipulative nature of your actions cuz hey, you tried to kill yourself on impulse so that must mean you are indeed some tragic saint.
