And then she still keeps arguing with abhay (mind you now abhqy is in relation with her and has almost died to save her and also she has absolutely no excuse of abhay being rude with her either these days) when sid asks her to visit a house for well to gift it to panchi. Fine you trust sid but your boyfrind is warning you. The least you could do is say you will bring misha or tracker with you because oh well misha is panchi’s sister as well not step or half sister. And misha would know more about panchi’s taste and thereby giving some relief to your boyfriend as well who you claim to love.

And then the hospital break up after landslide. When raichands saved her life after the misha piya fight, wasnt it piya who herself refused to get doctor check up because oh well “mujhe pata nai abhay ne kal meri jaan kese bachai but i owe this to him. Me kisiko abhay par ungali nai uthane dugi” where did all this go? Did she like miraculously forget all this? Although i did like she stood up for herself but i could not see abhay’s hurt face when he overhears her thoughts. 😭

And what the hell? Why are you going to sidharth to ask about pandher? You wnat information go to your own dad. Doesnt he have a huge a** library with many books. And so blindly she trsuted sidharth’s words about abhayendra being third wheel in sidharth and maithali story. Did she forget the ouija board game? Did she forget the drama she herself created on abhay’s supposedly birthday? Has she like forgottern everythign. Their history their arguements and everything?

And then we have post leap. I am okay with her makeover and this new more confident woman in terms of fashion. I dont agree with people saying piya was independt post leap because to me piya seemed more independent in pre leap. Coming to new city all on her on, fighting for truth and justice (maya case , drug blame by her roomates, tacky T comments and tantrums), trying to find job to fund her expenses etc. to me that is the definition of independence. But still i am okay with this new avatar also until she used her body se**ally to win the basket ball match. Now that is not the piya i loved. That was something what “T” would do, not piya. That was a cheap trick.

I especially hated the piya and jeh kissing scene. If writers wanted to make them a pair then fine do that but in one scene they are showing piya kissing jeh and next minute they claim that piya’s true love brought abhay back to life by unfreezing him. I mean what the hell decide one thing.

there onwards piya is like pendulum oscillating between abhay and jeh. But then writers conveniently claim that piya’s love is true love. How is all i can ask? If it is true love where does it go when it is absolutely necessary.

I finnaly loved piya when she fought for abhay during haseens out of control track. She became her detective self tried to find the truth on her own did not rely on anyone but her own instincts and the moment she saw it was haseens who has gone out of bound she understood abhay. She helped haseena and thereby abhay. She fought for abhay. Now that is the piya abhay deserved. The one who understands what true love is.

I always believed that abhay’s love for piya was much greater because he never asked anything in return not even her love. He simply loved her saved her and thats all. And i would expect it to be so because well abhay has been living for 200 years and trying to learn to control his emotions. He loved maithali even when she was not there. He knows that true love is no bounded by physical dimensions. It is somehting spiritual, cosmic and it remains even if the person you love is gone forever. And that was the kind of love he felt for piya. He never asked piya not to date other guys (except sid and jeh but for different reasons then the typical boyish jealousy). Never commented on her dressing be it pre or post leap or that god awful dress in the night club when few random guys drugged piya. He accepetd her truly before or after leap in whatever form he got her.

WBut piya had different kind of journey. She was a human. She was not above such emotions and did not understand them. After she found about abhay it always seemed to me that her expectations had chnaged. Abhay had always been rude to her, ignored her often but she was able to see beyond the mask he put. She fell in love with him despite that. But then once she found the truth it seemed as if now she cant see his truth even after the mask has come off. It seemed she expected abhay should now tell her everything because she knows one truth about him. Well i am sorry piya but that is position of power and when you are talking about true spritual love there should not such power play. But what she felt was very natural for an 18 year old teenage human. But writers did not do a very nice job in capturing these feeling and giving her a proper arc. She often demanded that abhay and her relationship be normal. But how can it be? He is vampire. She is not. Nothing about the two is normal so how can she expect normalcy. Again this could have been a beautiful journey on piya’s part which writers did poor job at writing in my opinion. And her behaviour post leap. I mean sure you wnat to capture that piya is unhinged little because of memory loss but come on guys she hasnt forgotten her basic persona which made our piya, piya.

Oh and one more jeh piya brrak up scene.

after teachers day party, jeh alina and piya are in car and alina says she is falling for abhay and jeh insults alina.

That should have been a defining moment for piya and jeh’s relation and It had nothing to do with abhay.

The words jeh said to alina were the exact words pravin jaiswal (her mamaji) said to sugandh jaiswal (her mother). Piya should have broken up with jeh there and then itself.

But post leap piya has completely forgotten about her mother except one small scene when she looks at her picture after coming back to dehradun. In that moment i truly believed that the piya i loved is lost completely.

Oh god i have written too much and this is first time i have written also but so many things bothered me. And i ahve not even started on other few characters. 🤪😋🙈

Also guys i am sorry i have broken the entire post in many chunks but i am new to posting so i was not allowed to write entire thing in one go or may be i did not know what mistake i made but i so desperately wanted to share some of my thoughts ever since i found out about forum a couple of months back.

You are so right. She never did. I had expected that at least now she will realise that they all were in that mess because she failed to trust in her love and instead put her faith in sid but she never apologised for that. Not even after post leap scene and she got her memories back. And even then she seems to fall in same pattern of not trusting abhay but believing literally every other guy.

honestly I would have dumped the guy straight away, wonder what Piya was thinking how she agreed to live in the Dobriyal house so easily is beyond me

I love how teenage girls are so biased to Abhay they conveniently ignore the n number of times he was cruel to her and pick and choose to make topics on how Piya is the bad one. Like wow 😂

I was a teenager when the show first aired but my thoughts about a lot of things changed after watching it as an adult 😆

I think even Piya knew Abhay was shitty to her on purpose, he said it to her numerous times that we can't be together😆

And somewhere she knew he's trying to be away from her.

I just detested the lengths she went to to find out the things about Abhay, to the extent that she disregarded his feelings. Abhay would atleast admit to himself that he needs her to hate him but Piya would be like how tf did u do this to me Abhay hawww 😆

And post leap Piya was annoying, nothing can change that 😆

Same with me. Fell in love with the show during teen years and still obsessed as adult. 😛

And the difference is that its true that abhay was rude, manipulative, dark. He is a sort of sadistic vampire after all. But he openly said so and accepted so. I did not have much expectations from abhay to begin with but then you see him do certain acts of kindness as well which was never required of him. There are so many instances when piya herself says that whatever abhay does is just mask. His journey is upward whereas piyas journey kind of feels downward especially post leap

Piya is made out to be little adorable innocent girl when she has many faults. In fact in my teen years i believed abhay to be at fault and piya to be caught in the suffering. Now as an adult my opinion has changed.

And as i have said previously its not the faults thats irritating but the poor way of story writing and character development that makes piya more and more irritating by day.
