So I'm revisiting all the older episodes and I'm on episode 2 right now. There's a scene that struck me very hard and I wanted to share my feelings about it.

Anokhi complains to Rama about the discrimination that women have to face in their own households while Rama explains how this has been going on for a long time and will continue in the future as well. At the end of their discussion Anokhi says -

"Yeh toh sach hai ki mere par nikal aaye hai. Aur mai isse kaat ke phekne bhi nahi wali. Lekin agar papaji meri shaadi ke liye zabardasti karenge na.... Toh mai toh udd jaungi... Par toh uddne ke liye hi hote hai na mamma???"

I legit teared up at this scene. Everything about this scene was painfully beautiful. Anokhi's expression which was a mix of exhaustion and determination. Exhaustion because she knows she'll never get the support from her own family, that she deserves. Determination because she'll have to fight alone, come what may. Rama's expression which is a blend of guilt, pain and fear. The music in that scene. The foreshadowing.

This is why I got so invested in the story and in Anokhi especially. I understand why a lot of people don't want to watch the older episodes because they are so gut wrenchingly sad but if I had started watching midway then I wouldn't have been so attached to all the characters, to Anokhi and I would have given up on the story sooner. But Anokhi is a part of me now, I felt her pain and struggle and I want to see her become an independent woman with a successful career who'll go back to Kapurthala only to rescue her mother from a life full of sacrifices and humiliation.

"Agar wapas aaungi na, toh sirf aur sirf tujhe apne saath le jaane vaaste... Jis din apne paairon par mazbuti se jam jaungi na mamma... USS DIN"

Anokhi don't forget your promise.

Yes Those episodes are beautiful. I have also started watching old episodes. They are more meaningful and worth watching than upcoming once. I am loving miss Bhalla from Kapurthala.

I love Shakhi & all the supporting characters too...the way they took the time to develop everyone is awesome💖💖💖

I really felt like I was reading a book while watching the older episodes. They took their time but they established all the characters and their roles very well and I'm thankful to the team for this.

I absolutely loved the initial episodes. Like you said I love the show and the character as much as I do because I've watched it from the first episode. I don't know if I would've been this attached if I didn't watch those episodes. I fell in love with Anokhi and Shaurya because of the initial episodes. Yes even Shaurya because I really liked his sense of righteousness during the police station sequence and the jo bheji this dua. That's why I'm really rooting for Shaurya and Anokhi. I tend to ignore/forgive some of the things in the recent tracks. I really want Shaurya, Anokhi, Astha and Shaan to have their happy ending.

All these characters - their pain, sacrifices, struggles.... they're all a part of me now. I can't give up on them. So far the team haven't done anything too stupid but the spark is missing. I do hope they can bring it back.

Anokhi's family has completely disappeared. They need to close Raja's track.

Anokhi don't forget your promise.

Been a silent reader for a while, just signed to the forum after reading your post. The character establishment of Anokhi and Astha mam in the first five episodes was awesome which made me invest in this story.

Wish the writers revisit these episodes and don't forget what was promised to us and what Anokhi promised to herself.

Welcome to the forum and I'm glad you liked my post. I really hope the writers can revisit the older episodes because I feel that they are starting to go offtrack

Yeah, I started watching the show from right after the ragging scene when she accuses Bebo and Anmol. So I didn't know Anokhi's struggle but now that I went back and watched the first 13-15 episodes, I really feel for Anokhi. She fought so hard! I always felt bad for Shaurya more than Anokhi, but damn this girl had a hard life.

Anokhi seriously has my heart ❤️ She has gone through so much, still having that fighting spirit of hers is praiseworthy to say the least.

And this is the reason I will always keep saying that some ppl might sympathise more with shaurya but truth is that jugni anokhi is the spark of the show. As long that fire in hers remain, the spark of the show will, so makers better focus equally on both and give them equally well written dialogues.

I really loved Anokhi's determination when she was that caged bird. Now that she's found freedom, I like that she's enjoying it. There's an ease with she navigates the world now, not having to worry about the restrictions.

She made that promise to her mom and now to her sister too. She sees herself as their savior, because she knows they're too weak to fight the patriarchy they were born into.

The dialogues you quoted....👍🏼

That first quote "Par toh uddne ke liye hi hote hai na mamma???" It's so sad that this is the reality for so many, whose wings get clipped so early.
