Welcome to the familyyyyyy!

Totally agree with you, they’ve pushed Raavi and Shiva on to each other and expect them to be okay in the future, I don’t think this would have happened in real life.

I guess that’s why they introduced the suicide attempt, to justify that it was necessary to get Raavi married, to give her a purpose in life, since her only purpose was to marry Dev since childhood.

But I respect that Gaumbi and Dhara aren’t giving them their space and letting them resolve things, instead of still treating them like children.

Yeah, Dev seems to be in a different world sometimes 😂 I haven’t seen today’s episode yet. But seems like he has a lot of apologising to do.

But like @milkcakejamun said, I thought you’d say Shiva didn’t have chemistry with Raavi when I saw the topic 😂

And like @UmIbrahim said, we sometimes need to detach logical parts of ourselves while watching shows 🙈

Heya meera! Welcome🤗 No worries on tomatoes, this forum is lott cooler and respectful in accepting contrasting opinions till now..

I completely agree with your post and I find this obsession of Dhara and Gaumbi on maryada a little too much..I earlier said this, Dhara is too fixated on sambhalna, like the moment things go a small bit south she goes beserk with crying/breaking down/questioning her parvarish etc...I wish she would give more space..her need to fix things may not work right everytime (ofc considering this is show, ShiVi gonna end up together and all) but she should relax a bit. I would have wished Gaumbi to calm her down a bit but he gets into izzat and maryada mode..

w.r.t Dev, I actually thought he’ll have a sensitive bone in him and be more empathetic than Rishita..but samajh jaana chahiyetha, Afterall he loves Rishita, they both are made for eachother.

Shiva simply agreed. Dhara asked him and he was the one to take Raavi down from the noose. The guy was genuinely shocked and worried.

He watched over her like a hawk the entire wedding.
Dhara too, made the spot in decision because of the suicide attempt. Heck, it was insane.

Raavi did make assumptions about Dev but Shiva had warned Dev. Dev is disappointing to say the least.

Raavi was so far gone in her heartbreak that I don’t doubt, if this wedding hadn’t happened, she would have tried again.

ITV for me, matlab no thinking ever what real life would be. I enjoy, discuss and move on. Aisa toh real mein hota nahi. Well, not that I’ve ever seen such a thing.

I’m not going to like Dev until he apologizes to Shiva and Raavi.

Hi meera!! I am new here too.

I honestly think all the characters here are being true to their characters. Dhara has always been like this. Well to be honest, she has apologized enough and nothing is in her hands, at least not now. And Dhara was right, now Shiva and Raavi has to handle their relationship themselves.

I don't want to hear Dhara's apology anymore, she did that for the whole week. The person I want apology from is Dev. I don't know what's going on in that man's head. Fine, he got married to his lady love, but the way he's behaving is insensible.

He can't really think that Shiva should forgive him just because he's Shiva's elder brother. Because of Dev, Shiva's whole life got disturbed. And I really hope neither Shiva nor Raavi forgive Dev easily. Whatever happened and however happened, marriages are not a joke.

Dhara believes in moving on, we saw this character of hers in her own marriage. She was the one who made Gautam understand that whatever is happening is for good. But here Raavi definitely needs time. Dhara-gautam's marriage was a type of settlement or compromise, but here Raavi-shiva's marriage is clearly a forced one.

They both don't like each other while Dhara gautam were almost besties. Circumstances are pretty different and ShiVi got the rough deal. But I know they will be the happiest in the future. And Dev is definitely going to regret if and only if he maintains some type of emotions for his family. Right now at this moment, he's being totally mean

@bold: 👍🏼🤣🤣

this actually cracked me up, but it is the truth. That man is just like a pendulum. One second he's all like Raavi bojh nahi hai uska dard bhi samjho and all.

And the next second he stays mum even when his so called wife was insulting his mother-like Bhabhi and Raavi

Apt Observation, but I guess we can not expect too much logic because its a ITV Show :)

Normally Dev should feel the most akward, if not lover, Raavi has been a Friend. How can you just be happy that your wife was gifted new Clothes, which she does deserve but still.

Dhara is a little pressured I guess by all the rituals that have to be done, as otherwise suman will eat her alive or even Maami... Maybe she thinks that after the Kuldevi Mandir darshan they have all the time to settle down and she will give Raavi space to heal, but she didn’t know that there will be a kidnapping etc.

Also if she didn’t nudge Raavi to accept the present how would we get all the Shivi scenes♥️

Wow! These are all great responses! Sorry for taking some time to reply, I'm on US time, so I actually posted before going to sleep haha.

I titled this post as such because as I said, I have not had a good experience on other forums, especially when it comes to criticizing characters. So I really did not know what to expect on this forum, but it makes me so happy to see that there is such a lovely community here!

Okay, regarding Dhara and Raavi, I see what a lot of you mean about her having apologized a lot, and I agree, maybe she has apologized a lot and maybe what Raavi needs is just some pushing. But I still do think that a more appropriate response to Raavi's clear sadness would've leaned more towards assuring her that she isn't alone and that she is understood. Everyone in that house seems hell-bent on either forcing the reality of things down her throat, or ignoring the reality altogether. There has to be a balance, is what I feel. Someone should be there to validate Raavi's feelings, and I'm not really seeing that from anyone.

So glad to see that everyone seems to be on the same page regarding Dev haha! I reaalllyyyyy want a scene with Shiva giving him a piece of his mind, it just has to happen for their relationship to actually heal.

I wish I could detach from the logical part of my brain when watching, but every time, I fail to do so 😂 Hopefully I'll get better at it, because I'm thinking I'll need to as this story moves forward.

Meeeeraaaaa!! Welcome to the forum!!🤩

Loved reading your points! One thing that completely irked me about the last episode was Dev and his entitlement of being “bada bhai” which automatically means that he should be forgiven 😒🙄(oh pleassssseee dev) wait I shouldn’t even say forgiven because when did he even ask for forgiveness? 🥴 But yeah I also felt that Shiva did not forgive him completely. And I don’t know if this was a sign but the fact that he came forward first to get the blessings from Ma before Rishita could come kindaaaa gave me hints for future complications there (maybe it’s me reading too much into the things, maybe he just didn’t see her? 🤷🏾‍♀️)

Coming to Dhara and Raavi, I do agree that Dhara should’ve worded things a little differently, because like you said Raavi just needs someone to validate her feelings and be there for her instead of pushing her to move on. Especially when it’s only been just a few hours. I mean I get Dhara has to follow all the rituals etc but I really don’t like the way she’s always pushing Raavi to complete the rasams etc, it almost shocks Raavi everytime because she’s wondering like why is everything back to normal? When nothing in her life is normal right now 🥺

Good observations. My thoughts

1. Dhara: Agree that the conversation seemed insensitive. I guess it's the choice of words she used. Instead of telling Raavi 'You can't get what you want in life' like advising a spoilt child, she could have told 'I did what I thought was right for you at that time. I am sorry that it hurts you. I can't undo what I did. But I sure can try to make it better.' or something along those lines. Instead of telling her she is not correct, encouraging her would have been right.

2. Dev: This man has a wish bone in the place of his backbone. There is a saying birds of a feather flock together. He is just as insensitive as his wife. The way he thought Shiva should forgive just because he is 'older' was idiotic. Agree Rishita left everything to marry him but that doesn't mean she can do whatever she likes. Have to see how these two deal with real life once all festivities are over. I want a proper confrontation scene between the brothers.

3. Suman: Agree that she was wrong in blaming Dhara. But that's natural isn't it. I mean in reality every mother thinks it's the 'friend' who spoilt their child. No mother would be willing to accept the fault of their kids easily. Though it is not right, it happens. Also I have a feeling, her anger was mainly because she was not in the loop. Maybe she feels she could have handled it better. Marriage is no joke and in a scene when Dhara was advising Raavi that she should take her example how she and Gaumbi where married Raavi replied that it's different. I totally agree with it there is a stark difference between marrying a friend when you are not ready to marry and marrying a man whom you can't stand while in love with his brother.

I think Raavi thought Shiva would say no to the proposal by Dhara on her wedding day. That's ther reason she keeps bickering with him that he married her to hurt her. Honestly he could have said no if he really hated Raavi so much. I have a feeling he cared for her. Cared enough that she shouldn't be a laughing stock who won't get any good rishta. I guess that's what was in his mind on the day of marriage.

Let's see how the story progresses. Maybe we may understand the character's pov better.
