+1. Aptly put.
LOL yes, there is a whole host of reasons for which people watch ITV shows....most of the generic ones get watched for the LLHH quotient, "hawtness" of leads by the younger crowd😆....and family dramas get watched to see logon ke kapde, jewelery, kitni shaadiyaan/parties hongi etc.😆
You think all these petty comments about how Imlie is just a "maid" are coming out of nowhere?😆 Naa....it reflects a shallow mindset cultivated over time that only views someone's worth on the basis of what clothes/makeup/jewelery they have on...that's how most of the world functions....on pure shallowness😆.
So that is why there is a subset that views Malini as the "well put together" wife/bahu in saris/choodiyaan and thinks the show is only about her and how she is being "cheated"😆.....Imlie doesn't look like a wife in daily appearance toh usko dismiss kiya jaata hai as "maid"....lol....which is why all these heavy duty sindoor scenes are put in to remind the people who have goldfish memories ki Imlie is his duly married wife even if she doesn't go around in suhagan look all day😆.
I don't dwell much deeper than that but I'm thankful that the show has found a loyal audience that has shown an openness to actual content than shallow superficial cliches that are a dime a dozen in most other shows.
It's not an easy pill to swallow. The amount of replies pertaining to Imlie looking as that "generic" servant just baffles one indeed. Imlie doesn't need to boast about her marital status unlike Malini who keeps on reminding about the limitations on privacy between a married couple. That is what sets her miles apart from a stereotypical FL.
Even Nishant & others have stated to stand for who Imlie is, no need to variate herself for the sake of others.
