Malini successfully convinced everyone that she was as good as it gets for Adi😆.....she basked and preened in that importance every chance she got. Which is why she can't stand it now that the Tripathis are showing a sense of being impressed by Imlie as she gets the limelight of achievement.

Adi had started to understand somewhat once he brought Imlie home on Holi ki the family may like Malini, but Imlie is literally the LIFE of the home......they didn't continue on from that thought process much after that though and I think it's needed for Adi to introspect further. He needs to dig deeper ki why it is so ki Imlie jaan hai ghar ki in such a short time when supposedly according to everyone, including himself, Malini was the "perfect" choice for him and the only one who could jhelo him.

Kabhi yeh nahin socha Adi ne ki Imlie not just jheloes him but understands him so well too? Why is it so? Cuz kismat ka likha? lol ok chalo maan liya Kismat ka likha....but yeh bhi socho ki kyun likha kismat ne? Cuz she was the right choice for you....even as you wasted 7 years mistaking a sense of obligation for a "right match".

I think unraveling this would need someone to ask Imlie to describe Adi through her eyes😆....it will hit them then that her level of understanding of Adi is far deeper than anything Malini managed in 7 years.....only then will the scales start falling from their eyes regarding this myth that has been created about how mahaan Malini has supposedly jheloed khadoos Adi for 7 years and done the ehsaan of marrying him😆.

Will the Ts ever get it though? Or are they even designed to get it? Maybe only once the truth gets revealed in the end no? Tab tak toh didi nachvayengi sabko.

Agree on Aditya’s reflection. That definitely needs to restart. He is seeing every day that the family does a lot more for Imlie than they do for Malini anyway. That whole college send off was so heartwarming. They get to live their love for drama through Imlie as well 😆 They seem to have moved Aditya’s reflections to focus on Malini though.

If they go the Nishant getting to know the truth route next I see him understanding the differences pretty much immediately but pata nahin karenge ki nahin.

It was always a sense of formality and obligation with Malini like he was one of her subjects showering gifts on his Queen😆.

And yes, I noticed it during the epis in real time also that Malini just makes it appear as if she disagrees with her Mom but she never did much more than a "Mom, please" to stop her from insulting the Tripathis and Adi.....it was the same thing on a rinse/repeat cycle everytime in the garb of supposedly standing up for her in-laws. Bas bolne ko bol do but never really take any action about it. The Tripathis were too sweet to expect anymore and went along with anything cuz they thought Malini is Adi's happiness.

This was always a sticking point that no matter how disgustingly her mother behaved, Malini seemed to get over it quickly enough....yes, I get that she's her mom at the end of the day but Malini not ever really taking a proper stand regarding her mother's behavior was always problematic. It is now becoming clear that it was all building up towards showing that she never really disagreed with her mom, that is why she didn't really stop her mom. Only when she can get some brownie points and prop up her image does she do token speaking up against her mom....otherwise she doesn't care much for taking a stand for what's right.

You know what sets out Adi to me is that he doesn't expect a domesticated woman for himself. Even with Malini, he never asked her for food or anything. He never bothered asking why she is sauntering in the house all dressed up when all other women were labouring in the kitchen. He understands she is a working woman and respects her.

But the he thought that she is an independent woman as well. Which she is not. She is of high leech quality, depending on others to maker her grow and throwing herself on them, leaning so much emotionaly, you just can shrug it off.

And that sets Imlie apart. As Adi had said in that magnificent speech to Malini before the interview. That Imlie will manage herself...she might cry alone in a corner..but she will rise and face everything bravely. She will walk alone...but she doesn't NEED to...because he WANTS to he with her ALWAYS....ab issey bhi deviji ke dimaag ki batti na jale to kya karein. And from yesterday even if that batti has jaloed, it is Adi she should be taking out on...turning so horrible towards Imlie ....Man how similar mother and daughter will turn out!

LOL yes it will be a struggle for Ts to get it....time lagega....tab tak Didi sabka bheja fry karengi mast😆

This is why I'd like to see atleast Adi reflecting about it if the T's don't....the level to which Imlie has brought fulfillment in his life, his home like never before....he has to wonder at some point then how empty all the declarations from everyone were about how Malini alone is perfect for him, the only one who could have tolerated him...lol....he should wonder why that delusion sustained as it is. But again, all depends on how gutsy the writers want to get with ripping off Didi's mask😆. Humein toh sab dikh raha hai but when I read people still considering Didi the victim after her antics in the Saturday epi, I'm like😕😆

And yes, if Nishant or someone gets to know, then atleast it will be one thread in the family getting unraveled where someone will notice the contrast between Imlie feeling like a real member of the family v/s Malini never really managing it. Adi toh probably feels he can't dwell on it much in his general guilt and ofcourse the stress of running after Imlie to convince her😆

Yes, ultimately Adi admires independence in a woman. He mistook Malini for an independent woman simply cuz she projects the image of a modern/working woman....but her personality is one of extreme dependency and emotional weakness....nothing independent about her when it really comes down to it.

Imlie on the other hand truly embodies an independent mindset despite all this perception about how she's from a "backward village", believes in suhaag/sindoor type stuff......she doesn't lean on anyone for validation and has been used to managing herself through the worst of situations her entire life....that is the true embodiment of an independent mindset rather than the presumption that every working woman is independent by default.

This is precisely why Adi has fallen for Imlie....she personifies the ideals and values that he believes in....and he sees the potential in her to achieve great heights of independence despite the circumstances trying to impede her. He admires her all the more cuz she manages to prevail in the face of such seemingly impossible odds....while Malini folds at the first sign of a problem.

Adi spent seven years going along with the expectations of others from this relationship, from him....as you said, he definitely somewhere bought into his family's beliefs about how he is too harsh and irritable a man that no one can tolerate, so the first woman who seemed to tolerate him seemed like the perfect one to him.....lol....baaki she successfully managed to ghumaao him also....lol this is what happens when you don't know your own self, Adi Babu....someone else manages to define you on their terms then....that is what Malini did for you.

They have reached a status quo.

Also what happens to that transfer to Mumbai application?

It's honestly heartbreaking sometimes that he knows that, but he can't even bask in that feeling freely na? That someone understands him so well? It is probably the most beautiful feeling in the world to be UNDERSTOOD.....how long he has yearned for it....ab mili bhi hai toh with so many complications surrounding it ki us feeling ko savor bhi bas passing moments mein kar paate hain.

I absolutely loved how she got to the crux of his issue in two short answers too as you rightly pointed out....she knew the two things that were bothering him, knew he will not budge until he gets assurance so she gave him that assurance in her own Imliya style and then even gave him the bonus of letting him know she struggles with being away from him😆....that was enough for him to melt enough to have the kaadha😆......how can you not love the beauty of their relationship.

Re: Mumbai application....lol yeah I'm quite curious to see how that gets followed up on. In the aftermath of this sindoor drama and seeing Malini's treatment of Imlie, will Adi feel comfortable leaving Imlie here and going away? Won't he feel like he is the last protective wall left standing between Imlie and Malini? 😆

Kahaan chhod ke jaa paayega yeh apni Jhalli ko.....I will believe it when I see it😛😆

@bold. Word to that feeling!

And he has to have that struggle...remember how Imlie cried when he told her, just after the phone bugging episode, to get married to someone and settle and told him 'aap humka samajh nahi paaye, BS" the girl struggled so much....Atleast Adi KNOWS he has her and she, him. Despite all the hindrance and obstacles, there is no misunderstanding between them

Yes, he needs her assurance in love. But that is more on the part that would help him take the big step of confrontation and truth!

Re: Mumbai application. It is damn risky for Adi. Didi might just take it as a long pending approval on her honeymoon request🤣Adi might just have to run to save his izzat

.

When she was shot she did say she wants to throw away the sindoor but she can't as her sita maiyya comes and stops her from doing so.

But when Adi had told her not to show her marital status to anyone, she had not worn that. Even in her half dead state, in the ambulance, she had asked him to remove all the symbols.

And once he puts it on his volition, she holds it dearly. Not for showing it to anyone but as his trust, his love, his acceptance, his haq on her.

Unlike didi, who wanted him to put it on her on Holi while everyone was present.

For Didi, the job has been a privilege...not for independency....She comes from a household where woman dont work for running a house or for expense...it is a luxury or a time pass that you can very well forego ...for her it was not a struggle. And that is why it is easy to put down Imlie and her achievements. To use that sneer or jibe in pointing out that coming second doesn't mean she forget manners🤢

I hope we get more on that too and adi saying you know me better than myself.during the hug scene isn't all we will get. I would like to see how he reached that conclusion he was BANG ON but thoda sa aur I want to see on that .

About independence he always liked that and he was rather impressed by imlie in first place too by how she was able to do things on her own pehle se fascination ki wajah yeh bhi thi how confident and proud she was of her wazifa of her having big sapne.. and he really doesn't want her to depend on him now as in khud kuch na kar sake like malini didi yeah he wants to give saath but saath hi dictate nahi..and he always push for you don't need anyone tum apne liye kaafi ho and motivates her even more when he thinks things might diverts her which I find so beautiful ke he does support her saath Mai chalega or well as he said everytime she will.look behind she will see him standing waiting for her jab bulayegi saath main paayegi but he will remain a shadow and that is her journey that she has to do.it on her own. Itna khoobsurat hainas we discussed earlier ke sab karega but credit ki bhiok ke liye nahi . Heck I felt disappointed when imlie hadn't given him any yet but adi does not give a damn 😆 Caz that wasn't what he ever wanted .. he only wanted hervto soar

Btw I found it rather amazing how adi and aparna told her exact same thing ke jab bhi mudh ke peeche dekhogi they will be there to hold her and girne nahi denge Albeit in slightly different context but it is so cool that it was inserted without making hullaboo about it heck you wouldn't even notice and I only realized it now too when I was typing it.. so subtle

Thanks!! I was trying to remember when he had said that. About her knowing him better than himself....

And the fact that he has told her several times that she doesn't need anyone...anyone's name to follows hers, and yet CHOOSES to be by her side every single time, is what makes this relationship so special!

Lovely reviews this week what a week it has been full of rollercoaster and more 🤗 just say I loved the progression of the story and with it the development of all three characters.

Must say this whole week was built upon bringing out Maline true self and finally showing us whom is always was and is. It goes without saying that the apple doesn’t fall far from the three. For all the hints in the past it was great to finally see the mask slip and with it revealing whom she was all along. Her whole speech during the prayer only made me wonder what happened to the woman that said a few days ago to nishant that for a couple to work there ideals need to match. Where did the believe go through he was just like her. Did she not state that values are important seems to me she forgot to Aditya never changed in the man he was, so were did the mirror go. Was the illusion of having him agree to all her statement the ideal of a perfect relationship to her. For one I cannot believe they have ever truly had a debate or discuss for I feel she moulded herself to make him believe she was the woman he wanted and he I return hung on to offer his family relief that he is not aloof to relationships. I do feel the void of losing nishant as a friend made him become more secluded then he would have otherwise been.

I was felt let down by the very fact that Maline was at ease to leave her husband whom we had fought with the day before. She could not see the pain and forlorn look in is eyes and the defeat in his body. For someone whom claims to have know him so well why could she not comprehend that her words could have caused him pain. She neither reassured him but went back to taunting him. This is where I felt imlie and his relationship is far more developed for they can argue and disagree to agree without feeling guilty at the end. It’s not about whom has been wronged but how they can fix it to move forward.

So her coming back and then taunting once more that you took the medicine felt even more ackward when earlier she had asked his family to ensure he does so by any means. I felt the whole aspect of manners have been forgotten for Maline should led by example for she couldn’t give her husband a chance to talk so ho would she let others speak. Her distance through her acts will filter in the family and I feel they will question if the decision to make her part of the family was ever the correct choice.

She demands privacy yet has never shown any to Aditya when airing her grievances. Her domestic issues I feel are her inner securities coming out with her falling value in the family as when she left barka Kaka had said that husband and wife matters should be kept separate to the famiy yet I feel in the coming days that shall not be the case know that she has taken to the dark side.

Her attack on imlie has just started but I feel the girl is made of steel when it comes to her faith no matter whom she will not break. I feel during this time imlie will realise her sacrifice for him and her is not justified and that’s when she will roar and speak like the Phoenix. A girl that can marry a man to safe is life form the axe will do any thing to redeem his inner peace.

I feel this is why the reveal to meethi was so important today even though I wanted to run and hug her pain away. I had to agree with my nanu for imlie needs her mother hen and when a mother has been scorn no matter whom they cannot bear the brunt of the flame. I feel she will offer both Aditya and Imlie a chance to explain and maybe imlie needs this guidance that one could only get from there mother. We have to remember imlie has always seen her mother yearn for love and hence she want to make sure Maline doesn’t suffer the same faith but in the end she will realise that maybe the love she believes she has was never there.

The sindoor scene today I felt where imlie reappied it was more of a measure to show Aditya of her strength and remind him to have faith. His time shall come where he will be able to both claim his truth and be free to redeem himself if his mistakes. It felt so powerful to see her trust in there relationship and no matter whom questions it she will not move away from this truth. I feel he will need this a reminder for the future when he will be surrounded by the questions of his family and Maline.

As for Dev what can I say. The man will never claim imlie he I feel once again will chose his first wife and daughter and will not correct his mistake. He says he wants to correct a wrong but I don’t see it happening. This is where I believe Aditya is more of a man then him for he believes in his truth and owns it he is it afraid of the consequences he just wants to make sure Imlie will be okay.

He will follow what his heart needs and what he wants and this is the side I love in him. Selfish as it may seem but his jealousy and fear of losing her to another is a treat to watch.

I just hope the start of imlie college will also open the doors of her relisation that her relationship is far more then she believed it could ever be. I feel in this path she will both become the woman she was always meant to be. A daughter, a friend, a wife and confidant but most of all a voice of reason. That’s not matter what she will learn and with time move forward no matter what comes her way.

That’s what was so poignant between all her moments with Aditya that at each stage there is fear of discovery and then there is confusion of why it hurts to see him with another. These whys is what she would be allowed to unravel without his added pressure. As you all said before her promise never stood a chance and know that her heart cannot stay away when her mind will how long will it be before she realises what it has all come to mean.

Just loved this week progression. Apologies for typos in advance.

I am just excited to finally see imlie rise from the ashes to greater length as she leaves the others behind one step at a time

as for Aditya leaving that was more of a general blackmail to gather if he didn’t matter after all this she not say what does it matter. How cute are they that even when they arguing they manage to bring a smile to our face 😆
