Raavi's attitude towards Shiva

Note : I don't mean to bash the character, nor do I mean Raavi does not deserve some empathy, nor do I mean Shiva is right and perfect all the time, nor does this post indicate I don't like Raavi as a character.

I also consider the fact that she is heartbroken and her world has shifted under her feet.

But I still don't like how she is behaving with Shiva. I know Shiva married her because Dhara asked him to and he loves Dhara, hence agreed. So I wouldn't say that she should be grateful to him, because it was Shiva's decision after all (whatever may be the reasons). And I know she also did not wish to marry him.

Yet, I feel, she should respect him like she would respect any other person, at least (Again, not saying Shiva is on his perfect behaviour all the time).

Twice she has accused him that he married her intentionally to torture her. That's a big thing. Its bound to rile him up (not justifying the manhandling). Even if she does it because Shiva says something rude, then also she does not have to hurt him back just for the sake of it, two wrongs cannot make a right (not justifying Shiva being brash, nor giving him a free pass). But she has to be mindful of what she is saying.

Today also, the whole Chai thing, I did not like it. Would she has done this to any other family member? Then why target Shiva? She made tea even for Rishita and Dev along with everyone but intentionally avoided making for him? Just to hurt/irritate him.

I wish she would behave with him just like how she used to before marriage (I know situation has changed, so emphasis on the word wish)

I know they can't stand each other today but some day in future she might regret this.

Just stating my opinion, you are allowed to disagree with me.

I also felt very weird about the fact that she made chai for everyone including the three people who hurt her the most (Dhara, Dev and Rishita) but not for Shiva.. I was trying to see it as she is trying to take out her frustration of being in a loveless marriage out on him. Because frankly now she blames him for marrying her on purpose to torture her. That also I don’t understand😂 i guess I was trying to look at it like, she has seen him behave only rudely with her, so she’s kinda questioning his intentions of marrying her. i think this goes to say that she really does not know Shiva at all. She doesn’t know that he doesn’t make plans etc, he’s not manipulative or strategic like that. I wish she would see that he is also just as stuck in this situation.

I guess they both kinda channel their frustrations on each other when the source is something else. Like how Shiva gets irritated with Raavi only because she’s Maami ki Behen ki beti and now Raavi is just irritated by the title that he has in her life. She’s trying to refute it the best she can.

I don’t know if anything I said made any sense😂 but I love talking about these characters♥️

Actually as of now raavi doesn't know shiva married her for daara, she dont know why he married her..yea she will regret in future but as they say all the hatred should come out so that they can fill it with love..

But for raavi's character right now whatever she say is kinda justified but yea if this continues i think viewers will feel it bit irritated just like how we feel for rishita..

Shiva stood for her during graha pravesh i am sure soon she will realize it, felling love with him may take time but she may start to know him soon, the real shiva..as gombi said a shiva who drank the poison to save his family, she will definitely respect him for being him..

Also till now after marriage we dint get anything funny or romantic scene so the ice btw shivi is still not broken , b4 raavi used to comfortable with him, his touch.. now u can sense she seems uncomfortable

It’s a rickety sea-saw at the moment. Raavi doesn’t know why Shiva agreed to the wedding. She did for her MausaPa. They’ve always fought but there was fun attached to it but no more.

I do believe this kidnapping track is going to help start ShiVi. If nothing else, at least less hate for each other. Honestly, I don’t think Raavi hates Shiva. She’s hurt and angry and acting out.

Both have been through a lot and there is no where to air the frustration but at each other. I’m hoping post Monday these two start to be nice to each other.

I want to preface this post by saying that I love talking about Shiva and Raavi. There's so many nuances in their characters, and the situation that brought them together will definitely be talked about/analyzed for the future.

Now, this remake is adequately different from the original. In the original, the Shiva and Raavi pair did not have any moments tinged with "romance" or "fate." All their moments showed how much they did not like each other, and what's making Raavi's hate harder to swallow, for me at least, is how the makers took this "You married me because of revenge" (which was showed in the regional version) despite having all those "moments" with Shiva prior to marriage. I mean this is the same girl who interacted with a man who hated her, and now she seems to be irrationally projecting her hate on only him and no one else. This probably is a flaw with following the original.

Now, I'm going to play devil's advocate and try to advocate for Raavi's behavior. It seemed that for sometime, Raavi seemed to value Shiva's opinions--whether it was to rile him up or whether she did carve some type of love for him as he was a Pandya son and the brother of her childhood love. The wedding, seeing Rishita, having her childhood end right then and there all came crashing down in a few minutes. The poor girl didn't even get the time to process all these emotions by herself as the whole town was there to witness this.

It probably did a number on her mental health--causing her to act irrationally. Also, out of everyone to save her, Shiva was the one. It probably confused her, but because of how torn she was mentally, I don't think she had the time to think about Shiva's feelings. I think she just began to make warped assumptions.

"Why would someone who hated me marry me?" --> For revenge, of course.

"Why would someone who hated me save me?" --> He wants to see me further suffer, and if I stay alive, he can see this

And these explanations were the only explanations that fit for her at that moment (depression/fear can become quickly dangerous if left untreated).

As for the chai, I thought by not giving chai to Shiva, she somehow returned back to their pre-marriage days. Most people around me, and even myself just a bit, show anger to those closest to us. For those I don't care about, I don't think twice. It wouldn't matter for me to give them tea or not. I think Raavi is mad, no angry, at a lot of people in that house. From the way Rishita seems to accuse her of continuing to have feelings for Dev, to Dev being a statue in this whole situation, to Dhara who seemed to only feel bad for her (up until that point because there is Dhara and Raavi's semi-patch up scene at the end of the episode).

By giving them chai, I thought it was Raavi's way of saying, "I don't give a damn about you, and this is proof." But by not giving Shiva chai, I thought it was her way to vent out her frustrations, and a way for her to show Shiva that yes, I am angry, now do something about it! (I know this is warped and everything, but I've seen some couples do this, never made sense to me myself, but then again, love is one of the most confusing emotions).

I think a conversation between them highly, highly warranted. And I don't think it should just be one of them doing the work. I think they both need to sit down, alone, and talk (and Janardhan and his goons will provide them the best opportunity to do this). I don't expect them to fall in love in a day. I think they'll have to do a lot of introspection, make a few more sacrifices/adjustments, and truly understand what the other wants in the relationship. As much as divorce/annulment of their marriage might be a possibility (considering how much they do not like one another), I think as viewers, we know that such a scenario is highly unlikely.

This frustration thing is okay for now, but not very healthy in long term.

I hope they sort it out soon😒

But, after wedding also Suman while blessing him said that he has saved family's izzat, and saved Raavi's life now its his responsibility to keep her happy. So shouldn't she have an inkling of it?

Or maybe she hasn't processed it, because she simply isn't in that mindset.

@bold

That is what I am annoyed with, I hope kidnapping track helps.

Fantastic post!! You are correct!! Raavi attempted suicide. She’s not okay!! It’s going to take time. Just hope it’s not dragged out too long.
