She's not airing her laundry about how she gets insulted on a daily basis; she's reporting bona fide domestic abuse and actual crimes. Who cares what the neighbors think! This is somewhat parallel to CN's philosophy - "what will people say??" Doesn't matter. At all. And it just might save lives.

Virat has repeatedly shown himself to be a clown, and Sai is remembering that clown-like behavior to call him out. I'd hope any strong woman would.

Sai is never proactively rude. She is always *responding* to some insult with the same level of force. A family that allows elders to abuse, insult, and berate their younger members while they're expected to just sit and take it is absolutely disgusting and toxic. Good on her for speaking up against it, and if they do decide to slap her, they'd deserve 10x the slaps from her back. Screw that hierarchical structure - it belongs in a different century.

Sai would be an amazing doctor. She has already demonstrated standing up for what's right and has now saved two lives by the age of 18.

You must be delusional, if you think - neighbors are going to enter a police officer's house & question a wrong. People are fond of their privacy, they are not going to jeopardize it for the sake of others. Heck, many of them don't even raise questions, even if they are very own family members. Poking your nose into a police officer's personal issues is nothing short of poking into a hornet's nest. They will turn their accusers lives upside down, that too when the officer is as high as an ACP rank. You might get away a bit with low ranked officers but no way you're going scot-free with any officer who has above the CI rank.

The best neighbors can do is offer you a shelter for the night, if you're thrown out of the house.

Whatever Sai did today is not going to save anyone's lives, she just wanted to malign Chavans & she did that, nothing more.

If you want to talk about crimes - even what Sai did is a crime in legal terms. Only the parents or partners have the decision making capabilities of a mentally challenged person. If someone fails a case against Sai, she will be reprimanded by the court, unless Pulkit can prove - he & Devi were married earlier, their recent marriage will be declared null & void, until Devi is back to a mental state - where she is capable of making her own decisions. Why not ask Ayesha herself, if you doubt my point - she studied LLB.

About medication, how can you prove any of it in a court ? Its all circumstantial evidence. Devi's words has no value due to her mental state. None of the other Chavans knew about it = even those who knew wouldn't speak out. As for domestic abuse, of course - Sai can go & file a legal petition for it, no one's stopping her.

Yea Sai was never proactively rude, that's why she was to Ashwini, Usha = who were abusing her right ? Virat was abusing her in Gadcharoli too, heck she was even rude to her dad at times - which is unthinkable in a no.of families.

What's the use of one's education, when he/she doesn't even know the basic manners of how to behave in front of others. (My reference is only to Sai over here, not the other mandali)

Its not about hierarchy its about our culture, which teaches "Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwaraha, Guru Sakshaat Parabrahma, Tasmai shree Gurave Namaha".

Guru is a form of god, who is guru ?

The 1st guru of a person is parents, then teachers.

You must be seriously joking, if you think the straits in her make a doctor. First go & check the basic qualities needed for a good doctor with any good Medical College professor.

Just for the record, Most of the patients don't even go to the doctor, if he/she talks in a sarcastic fashion. The only way Sai would be good is, if she's made to stay away from patients & their relatives.

And btw! whose lives did Sai save ? If you think stopping medication abruptly of Devi without actually a qualified doctor checking her up, makes her a good doctor. May god bless you for your medical knowledge.

If you're biased towards Sai, I have no issue with it but don't mix legality, reality with fiction = they are miles apart, , don't try to twist the facts with me = I don't like to sugarcoat stuff.

I bash the characters equally, I don't take bias if I have to lay down my views. I will bash every character with the same passion.

Honestly these things can be done in daily soaps. Real life mein asa kuch nhi hota

Sai had threatened in the past, she would yell & invite the neighbors for the tamasha even earlier = like when Kaku threw away Pulkit's gifts & Sai made them to return them to Devi.

lol ! Such things do happen in real life but in slums & etc.. where they keep yelling matches on the roads = with people trying to pacify both parties. You would hardly see any such public tamasha in middle class families, forget about the higher class - the Chaavans are shown as.

It’s very common.. people do air out their dirty linen to neighbours .. and neighbours listen . Wake up girls .. this is one of the most common guilty pleasures ..

It may not be so loud .. but most wives complain about their in laws husbands to their neighbours it’s a vent out

Cheapest and easiest way to take out your anger ..

Sai did it in a grand way .. but yes it happens everyday ..in every part of the world high , middle lower strata of society..

oh sure, those are ultra modern families who go to kitty parties - not all high class people attend them 😊People have a way to leak the details, one doesn't need to yell in public - that's what my pt was.

You're mixing gossip with public tamaasha. People share the stuff with others only when they know about them as well - its like u vent yours, I vent mine gossip sessions 😆

Crimes are reported in police station, Neighbors don't have jurisdiction in India

Sai would be an amazing doctor, because she is female lead, Indian female leads don't need degree or practice to be the best doctor

Anyone who thinks changing medicines or stopping psychotropic medications without consulting a psychiatrist, getting a patient married instead of getting her a doctor's appointment, leaving Devi with Chomu for wedding night, knowing she is not mentally sound therefore unable to make an informed decision and can't consent to either marriage or wedding night, should not be allowed to take such big decisions, especially when the best defense for her actions is her being a brash, impulsive teenager

Also, Doctors are not supposed to be kind. In fact that is the oppsoite of what doctors are supposed to be. The first rule of being a doctor is to never get attached to your patient. Never think of your patients as people you have to do good of, but rather think of them as objects, objects which are broken and you just have to give your best to repair it. Only then, will you be able to give the best kind of treatment. You ever saw Munna Bhai MBBS? In that movie, there was a scene where the main doctor (heroine's father) gave a speech in sort of beginning of the movie, about how he can't operate on his own daughter. It might have felt a bit dramatic, it is not that dramatic in real life, but still that speech was actually true.

The best example would be, suppose a patient came and you became instantly attached to that patient, and you are doctor who is really kind and wants to do good to everyone in this world,. Now, every symptoms of that patient point out to the fact that they have cancer. Now, if you are indifferent towards the person and don't care whether they have cancer or not, you will immediately ask for a test. But, if you are attached to that person, you wouldn't want them to have such a fatal disease and so you will first want to scratch out every other disease, and that wouldn't be practical or a good diagnosis. It can potentially put the the patient at risk.

I once again would like to point out that in real life it isn't usually that dramatic, but still it is something that you need to understand when you choose doctor as a profession.

Ps: sorry, if I sounded rude. That was not my intention.

Being kind doesn't necessarily mean attachment.

Doctors are supposed to be understanding, patient & not impulsive, Sai lacks all these qualities - which makes her a bad doctor for the time being at the least.

Neighbors do zilch except gossiping about the family in question. If this were not the case, govt wouldn't have to run ads imploring neighbors to report domestic abuse and intervene to save the victim.

I agree that if we look at the current scenario, Sai won't be a good doctor. But what I didn't agree with was the statement that doctors need to be kind. I just think that it is wrong for people to feel like being a good doctor means being a kind one. Yes, it is a great thing of you manage to be both, but a good doctor should focus more on handling a patient and diagnosing them than on being kind and empathic.
