It's true. Sara does see it, but right now she's overlooking it because she's seeing Ian as safe compared to Ryan. She needs to look at Ian without Ryan being in the picture. Right now in the choice between Ian and Ryan, she finds Ian the safer, more comfortable option. She needs to figure out if Ian would be the right person for her irrespective of Ryan being there.

She did need help. You might say Ryan manipulated her there, and she was right to be mad at him because it seemed like he did take away her agency. But the thing is Ryan seems to understand her better than she understands herself. He knows what she wants, and when she's holding back because of some self-imposed constraints. She isn't able to see beyond her fear, but Ryan realizes that if she overcomes her fear, then she would really want this experience. And instead of sweet talking her into it, he decides to be sneaky and pull her right in before she can protest!

It would be a loss indeed. Sara doesn't realize right now what's good for her. She's not thinking beyond her dream job. Also, the kiss and the entire bungee jump experience has shaken her out of foundations. She's feeling too unsettled and therefore is running scared. She needs to take the leap (or Ryan needs to push her into it just like he did with the bungee jump. But something tells me Ryan will want her to make the choice herself in this case! Like she did with the kiss!

There is another option, If Ryan does not succeed in life and if their love does not last long, she might regret going for Ryan....

If Sara selects Ian, her personality becomes strong and start taking decisions.....that would not be possible with Ian and she may regret then also...

I think that’s why it’s important for Sara to choose for herself what she wants. She needs to make an independent decision. Now the choice of Ian is made more attractive by the job she’s always wanted. It’s been her dream and it will come true if she marries Ian. If she doesn’t and decides to stay with Ryan then again she doesn’t know what the future will hold because of how uncertain everything is with Ryan. But in either case her decision is not based solely on what she feels and thinks, it’s clouded by circumstances. Sara needs to forge her own path that will allow her to make the best decision for herself. Is it worth being with Ian just for the sake of getting her dream? Will it be worth being with Ryan when things are so volatile between them? And does she really need the guarantee of a future or is she willing to take a few risks along the way? That’s all it boils down to in the end. Staying true to her practical self or becoming someone else.

She doesn't have to choose either guy for now. She just needs to be on her own and decide for herself. Ian will not let that happen so a break is needed.

Yes....Sara has to focus on her career and first decide what she wants before selecting either...

Do you mean if Sara has spoken to Ian about not taking decisions without her? He seems to do that a lot. And Sara doesn't like it. She rebelled against him to come to India to study. She rebelled again when she said she would do the bungee jump and not the hike he was presuming she'd prefer.

In case of the job offer, Sara is right now just overwhelmed that a dream of hers that seemed to be out of reach is now so within reach. But here too Ian has assumed and presumed that Sara would be okay with everything: marrying him, working at NCC for a lower pay etc etc. He's just run ahead and made decisions without consulting her, and it hasn't hit Sara yet. Possibly what happened with Ryan has unsettled her so much that she's not thinking straight.

You're right about the relationship being like that of a teacher and student, or a mentor and protege. It has been kind of like that for Ian and Sara. Ian has been her teacher and guide earlier, so probably it has spilled over to real life as well. He thinks he needs to guide her in everything. And that he's justified to make decisions on her behalf. Which is kind of disrespecting Sara and her intellect.
