To everyone talking about the historical inaccuracy- I had lost all hopes when I had seen the ad of an aged Gandhi and NO mention of the stalwarts who actually promoted female education in those days and before.

Can you imagine a story set in Bengal during those times when they can bring an aged Gandhiji but not exclusively talk about Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Dwarakanath Ganguly, Durga Mohan Roy or even KC Sen for that matter- the people who actually influenced Bengal and a major part of India to encourage women's education. Would it be possible to believe that such a well-read man like Aniruddh wouldn't know about them?

So nope history toh long ago I have ignored.

But from this promo I had a question

The rule is stopping child marriage- that surely would be for the upcoming ones right? Or will it be applicable to the people already married? Because then thats a but weird, right?

Anirudh gave option to annul his marriage and we should be happy that the child marriage would be finished but what comes out is their emerging bond

Our bon would come out of societal shackles and realise her and ani true bond over patnidharma and if in future she embraces ani that would be with true love or else we have their Anolha rishta

Ani never wanted their Marriage to end as he considers bon as his partner and his wife but first ani would fight his family though how hard it is for him then society will question bon love life and future prospect would come and also bon take can’t be taken as she does not know depth of hubby wifey relation and love and she sang understand at this age , so her decision as grown up would be taken I guess bon would tell he is her shikshak and barrister babu and no one can take his place and fight for their pure bond ,bon realises her self respect and self worth and ani realises how he wants bon in is life and he is connected to her soulfully

Also they won’t show bon preaching child marriage but she would be like what will their relation be then understand difference between law and spirituality and how law works above relations ,knowledge of practicality

They won’t show bon fightings against child marriage as ho use patnidharm mein karna tha she did ab nahi dikhaaynege

Thinking logically- is the law applicable to existing couples? Because that is what is being shown in the promo, right?

The fact that he wants her to decide all this independently after actually understanding what this relationship means, makes complete sense- but the way they are showing it- does this seem plausible? Its not really making sense is it?

ul: I am not sure they are actually showing it in that way. But it can confuse a mass audience to be so. Its only the promo, scene would be different. In actual scenario, I don even believe his grief on not being hus and wife would be shown to Bon as in promo, then why is the use of all the drama that he want to call off marriage. He might grieve alone on letting her go.

Its shown through the lens of Anirudh, so now there is a legal reason for Anirudh to call it off, because he believe in the asar of this kupratha on Bondita.I dont think Anirudh will give an explanation of the marriages already illegal or should nullify on consent , because Bondita was shown never in terms with the idea of anywhere near collapsing their marriage. So his words to Bondita would in fact be marriage is over now.

I actually don't feel Anirudh will pass on the decision on her consent. Such a thing would have been possible, if things went normal until Bon grew up and realize and then on a mutual consent they will take the decision on how to carry forward their relation. Now Bondita being kid, it would be solely his decision, the same way he has taken or enforced all of his decisions on to her .Be it for her good itself, but it was solely his opinions, his decisions.

Ok...so if his marriage to Bon is illegal ..then is his marriage to Manorama legal ....and will she be his real wife ,. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Everything is in terms of ARC, dear..he says his and Bon marriage is illegal, while he says his and Mano is nakli or Samjhota. In ARC's world only his belief and his principle matters.He is either olivious of the social consequences or he does not give a damn about it.

'Mein apni marzi ki malik hoon'. is what he has always been

So we will have to wait and watch how this evolves.

ARC says it illegal , will everyone else in family, Kaka to be precise and the society support it too?

While him calling off their marriage and exercising same rights as before on Bon , what tag it will cast on Bon's character by such a regressive society, is he aware?.

Every one including me used to say a mentor-mentee relation .But does it have any validity in that era? If that easy Anirudh would have never married Bon, as her said 'mein iska khyal rakhungi',' mere naam ke adhikar me rahegi' was enough

Even a legal adoption existed in that era? I don have idea about such historical accuracies

On the other side, same is valid with Mano case, what answer he will give to public. If Mano is here to stay for a while as a turn of events (likely impossible and complex of all the possible tracks), after revealing their take on marriage how will society see her and their relation? It is such an entangled loop, which ARC himself has to detangle

Mano should not if they want her opposite then after ani bon relation then bring Mano,I don’t want bon to skyways stuck in Badi choti patni relation
