Deepika offically announces the Intern adaptation - Page 3

I see a LOT of people complaining about this being an adaptation and creative bankruptcy in Bollywood. While the latter is quite true, I do not see this project as an issue because it is an official adaptation of the Hollywood movie. Its not like they are making the movie without giving it due acknowledgement

Moreover, according to the poster, the director is the same as that of the Hollywood version and gets full credit.

I like the casting - Want to see DP in these kind of contemporary movies.

and The Intern is a really cute movie. Big B is obviously a fab casting - though I would have liked to see Rishi in this role..sigh.

Ditto! Rishi would've been ideal because he would've had a warmer and sweeter presence but the Big B is not too shabby either. Best choice after Rishi was always going to be Big B or Boman Irani.

Didn't she have problem with Big B for touching her ass during shooting of PIKU ? Wasn't that the reason she didn't invite him for PIKU success party ?

Is she working on any of these movies or just announcing?

lol, how is the director the same?

Just because they're not stealing the idea without credit doesn't mean remaking movies all the time is good. What a shame that even the biggest stars and producers have absolutely no original ideas and don't even bother trying to make something new. Just find a movie you like from HW or the various South Indian industries and make the same thing over again. And it never matches the quality of the original anyway. It just gives BW a bad name as an inferior B-grade industry.

I don't understand the concept of remakes.. The target audience of Bollywood adaptation and the Hollywood one is almost the same and they neither changed the title nor will they Indianise it.. It will be almost the same movie with Indian actors... I don't see the point🤷‍♀️
