Raavi ripped it today

The girl playing Raavi came across a bit overboard to me when I started watching the post leap epis. She was too overconfident and just too bubbly for my taste. But that's her characterization i realized later. Today she just blew my mind. The way she performed her emotional anguish and losing her dream was splendid. In mere moments she transformed, from shock to denial to absolutely ripped apart. The way she cried even though she got only a few short seconds to show the depth of her pain, I have not seen that level on TV before. She was portrayed as if she was in physical pain from the heartache..which is usually how it feels when you lose the one you love. It was a brilliant portrayal and I felt so much for Raavi today while this whole time I felt that she was driving herself towards heartbreak due to her own ignorance, today she made me feel for her innocence lost. She looked devastated, and especially as the tears kept rolling out her face almost looked without makeup, she is a beautiful girl even with a ruined makeup. I have a new appreciation for the actor she is doing so well.

And today Shiva shocked mute by her act. I don't think he has it in him to taunt her ever again. He looked distinctly affected when he brought her down and when she asked him why he saved her. I think that is the moment Shiva will start feeling differently for her...that she is not to blame for the things that Maami and Anita did and that he cannot keep meeting out his hatred at her.

I can’t wait to watch the episode. I’m super excited but super sad as well. I saw the segment and was like holy smokes how is Alice acting. She made me cry. I’m sure I’ll be bawling when I watch the episode.

OMG!! Raavi was fire!! Holy smokes, Alice Kaushik, take a bow girl!! Raavi’s pain was palpable. She made me cry, she just was this girl who was hurting. It was just amazing!!

That was some first class performance !!

Alice did a phenomenal job. The pain, the angiuish, her grasping for breath, it was all done so convincingly and very palpable. Also, the part where she takes off all the jewelry and throws it away as if she's a widow because she was robbed of her life, future joys was done very well. She lost her senses and she was about to take that drastic step. It could have easily been OTT, but was handled with perfection. And what surprised me more was that even after taking that drastic step she didn't/wasn't really blaming Dhara/Dev and took responsibility of the heartbreak. My heart went out to her!

@Shiva. Agree, I don't think he has it in him to taunt her like he did before either. The concern on his face as he's rubbing her hands, inability to meet her eyes and looking away when she looked at him after opening her eyes likely has thrown his anger for her out the window. And loved that subtle scene where he looks at the noose with disbelief written on his face after getting up from the bed and then exchanging a glance with Gaumbhi to validate if that just happened and what could have happened if they were seconds late. He was definitely shocked and probably even felt guilty to some extent. Hence, he didn't say a word when Raavi was venting. He only defended Dhara when Anita started throwing accusations. Interestingly enough, it was Shiva who was able to get reaction out of her.

I loved this episode and it was painfully beautiful with Alice stealing the show.

The writers are doing a splendid job. Each character is so well etched. You can feel their realties, they are real people that you and I see every day.

Agreed!! On one hand Rishita is over moon and she should be. As much as I don’t like her, that girl fought for her love. I won’t ever fault her for it.

The other hand, Raavi and her broken heart and dreams. Shattered is the word!!

Her question to Shiva: Tu toh nafrat karta hai mujhse toh phir marne kyun nahi diya??? 😭😭

Shiva has no reply today. Everyone was so shocked that the girl who loved life was so broken that she tried to take her own life.

Couldn't agree any less.

For those that have seen another version, I am curious, were the characters and story written so well? Was "Raavi" of that version just as good?

Haven't seen the shoe but I do know that the pairing of Kathir and Mullai (Shiva and Raavi in original) is very popular. Mullai's (Raavi) character and the actress playing her was really popular and loved.

Sadly she passed away last year in December and was replaced by another actress.

Though Raavi might go through a difficult phase in the coming episodes, probably holding a grudge against Dhara but the character is thoroughly positive and comes around eventually.

As for Alice, I have seen her in Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum earlier where she played a grey character. I hated that character but Raavi made me fall in love with her with first few episodes. I think it speaks alot about Alice's acting as well. How involves she gets on her characters that she is so quick to change the audience's view on her.

Whoa, I am surprised that happened in todays Episode. I was thinking they will stretch things until it gets to the Action.

I hope she doesn't hold grudges against Dhara.The respect &love she has for her is really beautiful. Looks like Rishita is all set to create a ruckus after marriage.Hope Dhara & Raavi support each other and there bond grows day by day
