Sonu was still getting award performances like this and so there is literally no excuse to blame on actors for not having a longer run or not being popular with the public ( most Bolly singers don’t even get that ).

He is making more money from concerts without Bollywood support...he charge more money for live shows.. , people consider him monster in live shows already .....why would he go for a competition with labels and these new kids .....its just he and along with other people lyricist and music directors and singers are fighting for their right of royalty and the struggle can make a change ... .and these new singers are vigour to make it big name for themselves ...old singers already had enough of it ...does he still require to proof anymore ..

So basically he is fine living off his past glory and old songs and you are trying to negate the accomplishments of someone who despite his humongous success continues to work hard even today.. excellent😆

Salman made it big after Dabang .....so he was in TOP for only last decade ...besides one or two most of his 2000 flims are flop with hit songs by Sonu or Udit 😉 even his flop films had Sonu hit songs lol ...

Lata Mangeshkar is a playback and yet she is miles ahead in popularity from Sonu

And if Sonu had so much hurdles by being a playback, why didn't he try more of what Falguni, Alisha, Adnan Sami and the likes did? Why did he agree to remain hidden behind bollywood actors instead of making a more prominent name for himself like Falguni?

Michael Jackson wasn't the best singer but he wrote or co wrote most of his own music. He was not dependent on others for his material. He was also performing - singing and dancing since he was about 5 years old. Added to that he was involved in the production of his music videos to give his music a visual platform aside from live performance. Thriller would have been no where as big a song or album without the accompanying videos that played on MTV - and he was the star in them - singing and dancing.
