I am surprised you got a phone for $40 dollars and that it has been serving you well. I doubt I can get a decent phone that dirt cheap in India.

You should try looking for older models of the “one plus”

Smartphones. I have played around with one and I find it excellent and not too far from Samsung and iPhones esp for less than half the price of iPhones.

A white lady was very proudly showing me her i phone and telling me it was worth $800. I was having a one with $1200, but didn't show her mine as didn't want to let her down. But it was a funny moment for me.

Oneplus 7 pro. Not rich enough to be a deshbakt and afford other non Chinese brand phone with similar specs that will cost at least 300$ more.

If Indian govt can be hypocrite enough to do trade with China and Pakistan, why should Indians be made to feel bad about purchasing Chinese phones?

I would have suggested an iPhone but since your budget is much less, I’d say one of the older OnePlus phones.
