Please, she got an award for two films - one of which she already lost the National Award for the year before. But her ego demanded a National Award for so she got it - retroactively with the eligible Panga tossed in to make it look legitimate.

How does that happen without someone from the outside pulling the strings. It doesn't. Embarrassing.

If they wanted a message movie they should have gone with Super 30 which was a better film with a bigger message - so much so it was declared tax free everywhere in the Hindi belt. Then again with Vikas Bahl and Phantom Films that wasn't happening.

Article 15 also had a message but was even far less flattering to the status quo so again not surprising. Ditto Article 375.

I guess Chhichore was better than Tanhaji, Kesari Mission Mangal or giving it to Manikarnika retroactively like best Actress. 😆

Hmm don't know about Article 15 but Super 30 was as good/or above avg as Chhichhore for me.. Both the movies could have been better but nevertheless were still great to watch. Other than Gully Boy or Sonchiriya I think Bollywood in 2019 and 20 has churned out pretty average films.

Best playback singer- Again, really thought SAINDHAVI would win for Ellu Vaya pookalaye❤️

National Awards have always been a joke. Each time they do something absurd, people act like it's the first time. Almost all their Bollywood awards have been hilarious.

A government-backed award is always going to be more suspicious than any other independent one. It's one thing if they were awarding movies that are little seen so they can get a boost. But what's the purpose of their meddling in popular categories?

Have always rooted for her NAs..but nope..this one is a joke..how can you win an award for a movie you lost for in the previous year..this is heights of lobbying doing the work..it makes her win more of a consolation price than winning winning..not the same as when she won for Queen or Fashion or Tanu..
