Re-analyzing Krishna, Actions In or out of Character?

Calming down a bit after venting in my previous post, I decided to re-analyze Krishna. Make comparisons to his actions in Season 1. Gather my thoughts a bit.

I do stand by the fact that he should not have slapped Pratigya, that was outright wrong. Here, Im considering his impulsive nature, his anger and him hurting not only Pratigya but his father in the pretext as well. This is very much in sync with season 1.

Krishna was introduced as a grey shaded character. He was not the typical all good, adarshwadi male lead who never made any mistake. He has some very real issues like anger, impulsiveness and he does do things a bit extreme which is what made his character believable. No one is perfect, every individual has short comings. His good heart, honesty, commitment to his love, fearlessness and his overall personality made him lovable. For me, he is one of the best Male leads I have seen on India television and the only character that has stuck with me all these years. I will be very honest, I was obsessed with this character in season 1 and I realize that my love for the character has not withered at all over the years.😆

Krishna's love always have had an element of madness, junoon in it. We all witnessed how in season 1, be it from tattooing Pratigya's name on his hand, to going any lengths to protect her. He throws, the rule book out when it comes to his loved ones, he doesn't care right or wrong. Radhe misbehaved with Pratigya, he set out to kill him and so on.

Earlier, Krishna was not a father, he only had Pratigya in his life and all his love was for her alone but now he has kids and thinking about the depth of his love, he will go any length for his kids as well. Right now, he is seeing no one but Garv and his safety. In episode 1, again when Kriti was in danger, Krishna resorted to beating up the goon and almost firing the shots at him.

Krishna's anger and helplessness makes him hostile, just like in season 1. Be it the tracks where SS married Ganga, Aman's family refusing the Thakurs to attend the wedding or where he learned he couldn't father, in all those tracks, his anger and helplessness made him hurt Pratigya and the family never physically but verbally. He thumb-printed divorce papers in his anger in Kriya separation track and refused to listen to her or believe her.

However, he did make up in some way or the other in the most sweetest and heart warming manner. Realized his mistakes and corrected them.

Maybe I am judging too quick, its been 5 episodes, I'm sure the story will unfold and Krishna will regret and hopefully realize his error here. His intentions are of saving his son but in the pretext he is putting all his other relations on the line. Like in season 1, Amma track, he did chose his mum over Pratigya and signed the divorce, though we all knew he was suffering.

Concluding, minus the slap and the unapologetic manner with Pratigya, he is so far in line with his character. Hope the CVs don't butcher him any further.
