Watch the precap again. Notice the expressions. I think Anokhi sunaoed him at first but then since Dude is getting mad he held her arm with authority while dragging her with him. Anokhi looked clearly surprised.

I think he didn't know about the cheating fiasco before Anokhi told him. The only way he could know was through Devi while checking the papers. Since Devi won't tell him, there was no other way. The change of reaction was because he was mad at the authority for rusticating her
