Very well written. Most of Shaurya's psychology issues are a result of emotional neglect in childhood. He tries to always be under control but with certain people, at certain circumstances, his buried emotions explode like volcano. But, his male entitlement, superiority complex and misogynistic attitude are the product of the society we live in. The roles that are imposed on people of each gender by the society is what gets ingrained in our minds and we perpetuate it generation after generation.

In my earlier place of work there was an HR who had a 7 year old kid. Once her child locked himself up inside the room because he did not like his mother going to work as according to him, fathers should go to work and mothers should stay at home. The fact is, working women all over the world have to go through this guilt that they are neglecting their kids. Women desiring a career have to make compromises w.r.t. their children's upbringing. No matter who takes up the responsibility of the kid, the mother will end up feeling guilty and try to overcompensate with material perks.

Sorry for deviating from the topic, just was trying to see things from another pov.

No I agree we always tend to blame the mother but here I blame Shaan more than Astha. Astha had reasons for leaving but neglecting Shaurya totally was all Shaan. He is a horrible parent even if he might a good husband and if he loved his son he should have taken his care.

Wonderful written ❤️

He definitely needs help

Now his anger outbursts will scar anokhi too

Realisation will come late I guess

He won’t even agree rn that he needs therapy 🤔

Many ppl don’t

There’s some ‘taboo’ in getting therapy in our society

Perfectly written! I was tired of everyone pinning it on Shaurya. I mean what he said is WRONG! Unacceptable but the way the whole thing played out, I sympathized with Shaurya who had no control over what he feels. Anokhi's friendship with ACP pushed Shaurya off the egde. It was his emotional inability to cope up with these things that made him react this way. Whatever you mentioned above fits perfectly into the puzzle. Even in Astha's case, it was because of Anokhi's constant pestering he lost it n reacted this way. He knows he's not the person who would react/behave with this way. It was his inability to cope up with such situations. Childhood abuse, especially the psychological trauma one go through remains as a scar. Shaurya do respect women. It was his disappointment with Anokhi that pushed him to react this way (I'm no way justifying this). And it didn't happen over a single day. It grew gradually for years. It'll take him time to heal. We already knows he's a misogynist. We feel bad because we saw his good sides all these days. But people have bad sides too. Everyone does. It would be interesting to see him defeating his demons and come to terms with it.

That's what's important we realise what he did was wrong empathize with his condition and hope he seek help to express his emotions better.

I loved your post. Shaurya really need to see a therapist. I am not justifying what Shaurya said to Anokhi but that’s Sabherwal in him talking. Alok had said the same thing in front of everybody on chote sheher ki ladkiyaan. I am invested in this show only for Shaurya and I want to see real growth in him. Aastha and Shaan should do something about him apart from just scolding him and telling that he should know the difference between good and bad since he is an adult now. He needs professional help to come out of his shell.

Shaan and Astha suddenly becoming Parents to Shaurya won't be acceptable to him. They need a gradual bridge and genuine bonding. It's going to be a long hard process. @bold this is what we have to keep our selves reminding. This guy has issues and he is not normal. He needs help

Yes exactly Shaurya needs to realise he has a problem and seek help. That realization will be a long drawn process. Yes agree people feel it's a crime and only mad people seek counseling. The truth is mental well being is as important as Physical well being.

This just explained everything about Shaurya.

I have said this before... Shaurya is starting to feel too much and too soon and is unable to handle it all at once which is why Anokhi is targeted with this hot and cold behavior.

His abandonment issues were neglected and started to erupt suddenly bcz he realized that his parents are capable of providing/ protecting/ caring for another. Anokhi got it from both Shaan and Aastha which pricked him to no end.

And he feels for Anokhi but is unable to comprehend what he feels for her. Insecurity is cropping up due to fear of losing her to ACP.

Exactly an unfeeling Man like him has to deal with overwhelming emotions all at once and he is not equipped with it.
