No I agree we always tend to blame the mother but here I blame Shaan more than Astha. Astha had reasons for leaving but neglecting Shaurya totally was all Shaan. He is a horrible parent even if he might a good husband and if he loved his son he should have taken his care.Originally posted by: Idiotboxer
Very well written. Most of Shaurya's psychology issues are a result of emotional neglect in childhood. He tries to always be under control but with certain people, at certain circumstances, his buried emotions explode like volcano. But, his male entitlement, superiority complex and misogynistic attitude are the product of the society we live in. The roles that are imposed on people of each gender by the society is what gets ingrained in our minds and we perpetuate it generation after generation.
In my earlier place of work there was an HR who had a 7 year old kid. Once her child locked himself up inside the room because he did not like his mother going to work as according to him, fathers should go to work and mothers should stay at home. The fact is, working women all over the world have to go through this guilt that they are neglecting their kids. Women desiring a career have to make compromises w.r.t. their children's upbringing. No matter who takes up the responsibility of the kid, the mother will end up feeling guilty and try to overcompensate with material perks.
Sorry for deviating from the topic, just was trying to see things from another pov.
