Doesn't Smrita know that Satyen has invited the Mathurs over for Lohri?

Since the Dhamijas along with Inder would be present, I am just wondering what the situation would be when the Mathurs meet Inder at the Parasher home.

Raanav and Viveka took Dadi and the boys over to Bua's house to meet Dadu and then went home. It is nice how he is getting involved in Viv's side of the family.

Nisha, just one question. I thought Chachi's name was Garima.

Is it Ruchika?

Anu & Akash are couple goals. They are so cute when they are alone. They can give Raanav & Vi a run for their money in the Laila Majnu avataar. I love how Anu & Akash refer to each other as "yaar" sometimes. I also felt Akash was much relaxed than last few days. His Papa is back home, his wife is right in from of him and his son-in-law literally pulled a Dilwaale dulhaniya le jaayenge on them. Khush hona toh banta hain.

Garima is such a Dadi-in-the-making. I feel sorry for her bahus already.

Curious to see what Viveka says when Anu asks her about gifting Raanav.

It was an interesting point you touched on, Nisha, about Savi wanting to pay the hospital bill. Anu's reaction was contextually understandable because of Dadi's mentality. I can see her harping on until kingdom come about how her betas didn't shoulder responsibility as they should have. But, I do feel that society's thinking needs to change. A daughter should have as much right to look after her parent as a son. Especially when she wants and is able to. I wish we do come to see that looking after our parents in the best possible way should be the first criteria.

I was amused at the butters you mentioned. I remember when I was first offered an array of butters at a restaurant, complete with explanations of where what how of each one while my famished tummy was dying to get at the bread 😆

PS - I'm glad Chachi is back to Garima. The thought of part of her name being mine *shudder* 😆

Morning Nisha ! The.conversation between Anu and Akash are always a treat to read and very revealing.

Anu is not petty or miser and the couple make decisions jointly it seems. But does exposure, financial independence,(oh yes on a after thought even education) gives you an ability or will to fight society ills and traditions? If you agree and accept it why will you fight it. Or is it that you do know it is wrong but will comply for peace.

I was alluding to her objecting to Savi picking Dadu's hospital bills. Even though she says "taking care of parents" ...she means only the sons not a "married "daughter. As it is "inappropriate". How long does one hide behind I want to avoid Dadi's wrath..does she wonder if her four daughters will also unconsciously imbibe those beliefs. Who knows they may marry men who think like her or worse Dadi and not Akash.

Plus the whole tirade about the gifting and making it even.

This was lovely as usual and reflects a reality of society 😍
