I've been hearing similar stories from others too and while I'm not worried for myself cuz I can take the day off and ride it out, both my mom and dad are high risk with pre-exisiting medical conditions. They took the first dose of mRNA pretty well but I'm now wondering how the second one will be for them after hearing all these stories from people in their 20s and 30s. 🤔
I understand. My parents are high risk and I am a bit worried about how they’ll react to it, too. Dad got the first dose Pfizer yesterday. He tolerated it well. Will find out how he tolerates the second dose. But what makes me feel better is that the side effects were more common in younger population in the trials which kind of makes sense if you think about it. Our immune system is most likely going to react crazily to anything foreign than theirs. Also if it makes you feel better, my hospital has been vaccinating people 65 and older since early February and many of these patients have multiple comorbid conditions. I haven’t heard any bad news in terms of adverse reactions in this patient cohort, yet.
