I don’t think views on Instagram are a good way to judge popularity. Some videos are posted before others, those will most likely have more views.
Instagram followers is comparatively more reliable than number of views in my opinion.

Indeed she was popular in lil champs days but since past 4-5 years she is not much known on national television. She has made her come back this time. And even in idol she wasn't much appreciated by the judges in initial days...they had some fixed contestant in their mind but when guests started appreciating arunita every week specially Alka Yagnik (she was mahaguru in lil champs) and kumar sanu (was judge in lil champs bangla) they recognised her.

Likely so, but shows such as Lil Champs are likely to have overlapping viewers (and special guests) with this show as opposed to regional competitions others have participated in so it definitely gives you some advantage. Same applies to SMP, Anjali, Pawandeep and Danish.
