Shaan's Vaada

Does anyone have any idea about the "vaada" Shaan was talking about? Did he make a promise to Devi that Aastha will never re-enter their lives? If so, then why?

Edit : Well, the doubt got cleared. It was to divorce Aastha. Thanks to Gayatri9.

It seems blackmailing Shaan is very easy. I wonder why Devi could not get a chance to do the same much before.

Shaan and Aastha's scene has me intrigued. We only see snippets of their story here, but there seems so much to it which will surely go unexplored. Why did Aastha agree to marry Shaan even knowing about his family's thinking. She is a practical woman who certainly knows love is not always enough. Or was she too young to realise that? What did she see in Shaan, besides the looks? 😆 Why did Shaan agree to marry Aastha knowing very well what she would be put through? Why did he never make any attempt to meet Aastha in 25 years? Why did he never try to make Shaurya and Aastha meet? It was not as if he was locked up.

Today Aastha realises she failed as a wife and mother. Shaan thinks he failed only as a husband, but according to Shaurya he failed as a father too. Why doesn't Shaan realise that even now? There must have been something good in Shaan because of which Aastha agreed to marry him and sacrifice her ambitions and also entrust him with their son's upbringing. I doubt Aastha had any idea about Shaan becoming a Devdaas till she met him again after 25 years. During their first phone conversation, Aastha had assumed he was doing fine.

I know these questions have been discussed many times over many posts, but I can't stop thinking and again made a post.

It was about to Divorce Aasthaa.

If Shaan wants kanchan and Gayatri to be at home.

So,it was promise of Divorcing Aasthaa.

Yes, I have put an edit note. You can check. Not so used to making posts. The only forum I have participated before SAAKK was Dahleez. That was like five years ago.

For a second I thought I had come to the wrong forum reading Vaada in the title 🤣

There is always a character that gets reduced to a scape goat to drive the plot seems like at the moment that's who Shaan is😆

You have a very good memory 😊. Dahleez has been my favourite show on star plus. Crisp storyline, flawed yet relatable characters, women with a proper profession, a male lead who is not grumpy, female lead who is passionate about her ideals but doesn't go around lecturing everyone, a no nonsense saas, I can go on and on about it.

And that is my biggest peeve. It was not needed to make Shaan such a loser to take the story forward.
