I liked the movie. Kareena was the only grating element for me. She didn't look like a working girl (using it in old-fashioned sense).

Kareena's character was used more as a paranormal prop than fleshing it out as a flesh-and-blood sex worker. To be honest, I still don't get why the character was necessary at all, though the filmmaker probably considered it an important storytelling device. But she looked beautiful and acted well.
Rani and Aamir were absolutely convincing in their roles as well.
I loooooooove this movie. Have seen it multiple times. The creepy music, the characters, the supernatural element all were a plus for me.

OMG same here🤗
An absolutely unique piece of work...original and startlingly innovative! I loved how the movie is an ode to grief, a psychological thriller, and also a supernatural exploration at the same time!
I liked it!
Imo the twist was good, it had exactly the effect it should have.

The twist was unexpected alright. I don't know about good or bad, it definitely made me re evaluate what I was thinking of the film in terms of content.

It was definitely fresh and unexpected, which is always good to watch in BW where people usually want to take the tried and tested safe route in terms of story...
But at the same time it wasn't portrayed in the ridiculous way that supernatural stuff usually is in BW (and a good deal of HW films tbf)... it was understated but powerful, which is why it worked for me.

So true about creepy music.
The music of this movie haunts me. Be it Mushkanein jhooti hai or Jiya Lage Na, jee le Zara

Jee le zara has such amazing lyrics. And Rani's eyes haunt me in the song. They are so full of grief.

The narrative treats ram Leela as some epic and tragic love story but the romance is barely developed. It's more about lust than love. We don't...
What makes the film unforgettable isn’t just the grand frames, the haunting music, or the storytelling SLB is known for. It’s the beating heart...
