It says they had a Puja in September 2019 - so they leased before the pandemic started. If they finished construction they might as well open since they're paying rent (hopefully for her and other investors they got lower rent rates after it came up for renewal last year).

PC long back mentioned about her restaurant plans.. I think I have read about it when she was working on Quantico.

It was planned with one of her Newyorker friend Manish?.. is it the same or totally solo venture?

What extra or out of the ordinary will this "Indian" restaurant offer?

Wohi same butter chicken, chhole, naan, lassi, desi buffet, etc. etc. etc.

For cheap desi items I actually prefer going to Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Sri lankan places. Indians try too hard to make the same food so expensive.

Here where I live, you can't even get a Dosa or Biryani under $20.00 at a Indian restaurant.

A Pakistani place down the road sells really tasty biryani for $5 and for cheap good Dosa I usually go to Sri Lankan places

Maybe where you lived had more Pakistani restaurants than Indian. Cause where I live, indian buffet was $8-$9 per head vs Pakistan buffet starting at $16 per head.

Also where were you getting $5 biryani... I couldn’t even find chana chat for under $8 😜

Actually, some docs say we're expected to hit herd immunity by April.

I live in a small town. There are 3 Indian restaurants, 2 of them sell American idea of Indian food. 😆 There is a 3rd one which sort of looks like a village teashop and does thaalis. It's run by a Hyderabadi owner. Food is goood! And spicy!

But I still want Malayali food, and it's 200 miles to the nearest Mallu catering place. I don't think there is a restaurant around.
