Ian is like a horse with blinkers now, he can’t see beyond his own intentions where Sara is concerned. He wants to marry her and that’s all he’s fixated on right now. He does see Ryan’s interest in her, but doesn’t want to accept the fact that Sara might also be interested.

It is! But the fiasco with his last job has effectively made him a bad prospect. He has to redeem himself in the job market. And that’s why this case has become so important to him!

He kind of jumped to conclusions there, don't you think? He just assumed Annie would like him too, just as much as he did. Varun is a self-centered guy. Even in the cab, he was talking all about himself. Where Annie was concerned too, it was all about how she fit in with his plans, his dreams. He needed a lesson, that it's not all about him. And he learned it. He got served a dose of humble pie. In a very noble and altruistic way. He will think about others now.

He did jump to conclusions from a single meeting. He may pay more attention to Neelam now. Hopefully he will appreciate her for herself and not just settle.
