IMO, Virat is physically attracted to Sai but he doesn't want to claim her until he believes she is ready for this relationship on every level physically and emotionally. He is more disappointed when she doesn't reciprocate and acknowledge his care and concern. He is a complete gentleman in that sense to not cross his boundaries when they are in the same bed . His needs are emotional than physical. In KD, after the marriage just before building the fort we see Rono caressing Emon’s face which makes her uncomfortable hence she decides to build a fort but in this version, it's Sai who unintentionally gets close to Virat in the night.

Many people say Sai is young she is not ready for a physical relationship but I believe among the two she will be the one who will be leaning towards a physical relationship. She is a teenager who will be excited about physical intimacies and may want to explore more . I believe people are more hormonal at that age. It's like the forbidden fruit that they want to have it.

Our ITV audiences are trained to believe consummation cannot happen before confession. Forget TRP audiences even online ones are not ready to see a consummation before confession. Even in fan fictions writers don't take risk by having them consummate like a normal couple in the real world would before confession. I don't think the audience is ready for a mature love story yet.

He is attracted to her. You can see it in many scenes esp Mohe rang dola song and the Alta episode.

So now that he knows what is stopping Sai, he has started working on it. No one will jump to next step with spouse if it's not mutual. Virat sees that it's not mutual yet, so he will wait until it is.

In the mandir hand holding scene, Sai showed her attraction for the first time, which he also realized, esp after saying I dont like either versions of Virat (he wanted her to say she likes Virat).

He is probably happy plucking leaves 🍃 making plan of his next steps to patao his wife without realizing the big toofan brewing at his home.

So it's upto makers if they will show 1-2 scenes before separation or not, but I doubt it. Until Virat in clear terms tells about Pakhi to Sai, from her side, she will never take a next step I feel.

Agreed. It's very unusual though because in real life, you mostly end up being physically intimate before the feelings develop. In fact the physical intimacy leads to emotional intimacy, especially in most arranged marriages. It helps develop a level of comfort and naturally, sexual attraction is normal, especially towards your spouse who is lawful to you.
