I had to do a double take. Saawariya, BM, Padmaavat, Ram Leela had fab sets...dunno what happened here!

True. It seems very unnatural.

P.S. The oft overlooked Guzaarish sets were awesome as well. So beautiful.

Her overall look was nice but her performance lacked the power, she was trying to sound menacing but her expressions weren’t that great

Nope. My first reaction was why? My second reaction was WHY? My third reaction was WHYYYYY???

Honestly that teaser shows exactly why people hate nepotism. She just doesn't fit in that role. Not one bit. She made me cringe with her dialogue delivery.

Everything else around her was good. Costume department, sets, even the bg score. SLB is going to lose big with this one.

She did well. It was interesting

I am not impressed at all. I don't know about her "acting", as all I could notice was how misfit she's looking in that get up. Like someone said, it's like a child playing dress up game. The visual it presented was so uncomfortable that everything else got buried under it.

I could only think that Vidya Balan or Rani Mukherjee or even Priyanka Chopra would have looked so much more convincing.

The role should have gone to someone older with enough gravitas,presence and experience. Alia did her best. But it doesn't look as if she has seen enough of life. Same problem with Dear Zindagi.

They did the same with Ranbir's character in Rajneeti. He starts out with dark clothes and switches to shades of white as he becomes more corrupt. I read it in the book by the director Prakash Jha. Another reason was that Arjun on whom Ranbir's character is modeled, dresses in white.
