I am a staunch sc fan very honestly, and until now the girl hasn't disappointed me..neither in acting nor with her behaviour and other stuff.

But even I'll agree, sc deserves this award no doubt but because the other contendors in front of her as not as strong as her. Had she had a contentor that was SM par, or a contentor who had given the kind of performance sm gave in N5, she wouldn't have deserved it.

Does tv politics have some affect on dpiff awards?? Because I've heard that dpiff is usually very fair and balanced.

But DD doesn't deserve it when you have a strong contender like sm standing. Dd's acting chops are all right and well but veeranshu was ahmazing and Sm deserved it.

Have to say, I agree completely Dhairya. Love SC, glad she won, but it helped that her competition was pretty much non-existent.

SM deserved this award, no doubt. So while I am happy for Chandu, mostly I'm just sad on his behalf bc frankly N5 was his show. I love Vani, and I loved Bani more than most of the audience did (LOL) but Veer stole the show. Am majorly disappointed for him.

I think all awards have politics if I am honest nothing is clear cut with these.

I have no clue how these awards work but I do think SC did have a strong contender in Rupali Ganguly the lady who plays Anupama. I have watched some episodes and the lady is force to reckon with. She does have a lot of experience on her side but she’s a brilliant actor. But she does have a solid storyline and good show to back her up. Just gutted she didn’t get the recognition she deserves because she’s the reason the show is where it is. I guess in a daily you have the scope to do various scenes etc compared to 52 episodes that Sc had. SC just had SM LOL nothing else was in that show to back her up (apart from her acting obvs!). But SM deserved all the awards for Veer. There has never been and never will be a character like Veer and he bought that character to life.

SM deserved this and all awards for VS.

But i guess someone PR is really strong.

Also I just now realised that the awards Sharbhi won last year were for the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Awards, and these ones were the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Awards... they held these same ones in Feb last year and DTD won Best Actress. Don't know how they differ tbh...but I guess that means in Nov this year they'll have the Icon Awards as well...
