Hello everybody. 😊

Social media became a mirror of society , and how it reacts to different issues. There are lots of discissions about dramas and actors happening there.. and criticism is important for improvement of dramas, and acting. But in many cases, actors are being judged for their personal life and opinions which has nothing to do with their job as actors.

Is it justic to judge actors by appearances in real lives, photos, videos which they post..and start moral policing them? Is it a part of criticism , or should peaple focus on their work and dramas insteed?

Plz share your opinions about this topic, and feel free to add examples of good and bad criticism.😊

Social media is negative and toxic. Social media is not my cup of tea. I don't have any accounts on social media. Celebrities are public figures, but being a public figure does not mean that they are public property.Celebrities are human just like us. .Celebrities have a right to privacy. People follow celebrities on Instagram because they know that this is the only place where the celebrities themselves post their pictures. Criticism can cause harm as well as good things.
People like to criticize "Meera jee"because she can't speak English fluently. Why are we so obsessed with English? People like to criticize Reesham because she is still unmarried.
There are many Pakistani actresses who like to wear short dresses and post their picture on social media. It is haram for women to wear such things that reveal the body and tight fitting clothes. Just yeh pasand nahi hai.

I think social media criticism is to be expected n if you can’t deal with it, then don’t have a social media or have a private account with just friends. Stars n people in general only want the good of social media but not bad. The want fame but not the scrutiny that comes with fame. Tht is not possible. As an actor/model hybrid that actors are these days, they are the product. The product does always get fame n criticism, fair or unfair.

obviously there are some strange people who criticize your every move but you just have to ignore it. People say these people only do it because they have a wall of anonymity on the internet, however I disagree. I think the past few yrs have shown us how insensitive n uncaring people are of each other.

Perks of being famous😆 everything comes with pros and cons

But yes social media does play a part in celebs fandom and how we see them...it has its own pros and cons

Like through social media, we get to see the celebs off screen personality which can sometimes make fans love them more and sometimes make them hate them.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this topic. 😃

I've joined fb only to read about upcoming dramas, and see the latest pics and news of my fav actors.😳 I read lots of criticism there about almost every actor..no matter how decent his or her pics are!😳

I feel for actors when they are bashed mercilessly. They are humans as you said.😒 Sometimes they quit social media or make their accounts private, or deactivate the comments potton on their accounts to avoid bashing.

I think actresses who post their pics for skin show are enjoying being criticized, because every kind of publicity is good😉. Actresses like : Saba Qamar , Anmol Baloch , Mashal Khan , Ushna Shah , Sana Fakhar ... don't shy from posting such pics .🤓

I agree actors have to accept everything which comes with fame, but sometimes criticism becomes unbearable, so that actors deactivate their social media accounts temperorarily , like: Mahira Khan did once, so did Hamza Ali Abbasi ..and others. Sometimes they just turn off comments , like Shahroz and Kanwal did after posting their nikah pics.😔

Yes. Ppl are growing insensitive everywhere , but in social media they are more insensitive , because they are hiding themselves behind their screens. 😔 If everyone starts thinking that Allah watches every word he writes, or how harmfull his comments can be , and that it may affect someone's mental health or life.. they wouldn't be this harsh.🤔

Thank you for sharing your views about this topic.😃 and congrats for winning a new award .🌹 I am proud of you.. where can I read your OS?🤓

I agree with you that social media for actors is like double-edged soward. It can make them more popular, and it can gain them lots of haterd. But you know what? In both cases they get many followers, so they gain lots of money through ads, and dramas. 😉 Nazish Jahangeer came to limelights after Mohsin Abbas Haider's wife accused her of having an affair with him. 😲 Nazish benefitted from that controversary , and got lots of good offers. Now she is even doing lead roles.😳

I don't like to criticize actors and actresses for no reason. Actors should accept criticism. There are many actresses in Pakistan who like to wear revealing clothes to increase their Instagram followers. There are many famous actors and actresses in Pakistan who are not on social media. Not everything has to be shared on social media.Constructive criticism can guide you away from bad practices and towards good ones. There's a difference between constructive criticism and hate.Recently, a Pakistani actor and his wife were criticized for keeping dogs at home.

Like Hinna said everything comes with pros and cons. There is criticism besides appreciation.

I would say that Celebrity's life is there personal life until they don't make it public by posting each and every moment of their life on sm. Jab celebrities apni zindagi ki nomaish karty hain sm par toh wo public ko khuli ijazat dety hain unhey criticize karney ki. For example if Minal and Ahsan had not posted their intimate pictures than fans would have not bashed them. I got it it's their personal moments but they should keep them to themselves na. Unhey bhi pata hai bina shadi ky yeh sab karna ghalat hai and they will get criticism that's why such celebrities turn off their comments section. App kisi ko moqa hi na do ky wo apko apki acting yan singing ki bajaye apki personality (personal life) par criticize karey.

Sometimes celebrities give such rude replies by involving someone's parents. Even sometimes they don't take healthy criticism. I have come across a post where a fan said to Ahmed Ali butt that he used to look better as chubby in reply AAB gave such rude answer.

Celebrities should think before posting and replying on SM.

Jahan taak logon ki baat hai. Yeah they should remain in limits. I don't know why people waste their time by criticizing someone on SM. And they should refrain from using abusive language. Sabney apna hisaab khud dena hai. We are no one to judge anyone. Unka amaal unsey humein apney upar focus karna chaiye bus.
