Strange - I feel the opposite - the story has moved so well at a good speed steadily building the story while keeping the focus always on the lead - Imlie. Every side story and small incident revolves around and finally leads to Imlie - which is why I find this serial so interesting. The Imlie Adi equation has been developed so slowly and steadily that it appears so effortless and believable. I do agree that Imlie has not shown to have a progressive view to life thus far - but she has been caught in a situation out of her control. Once she is given the benefit of a college education or even some degree of control over her own life - I think we will see a different side of her. Even now with no control over her life you see her slowly asserting her will - like when she told Adi she was 18 and could take her own decisions. When she gets the freedom she deserves - I believe we will see a lot of growth. :)
Well I've to disagree. I hope that's ok ? Nowadays, it looks like a crime to have a different opinion in the forum. 😆 😆 People lack the basic understanding and minimum maturity to admit that their opinions can not be all to it and varied opinions are a must . Or some how those opinions are superior. All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others and all that...
I sincerely hope you're not among them ,since I'm engaging with you. If you have intolerance to different opinion 🤔 ,all you have to do is ask me not to quote you and I won't. 😳
Oh I don't deny at all that her situation has been adverse. But it's not like she's been suddenly thrown into the fire of adversity. Her life was practically all about adversity. If anything her life is easier compared to what it has been used to in Pagdandiya. Even her mother admits that she's never had anything but pain in her life from Pagdandiya. At least now she doesn't have to constantly look behind her back to see what new evil do dums her NN is upto and her constant taunts and even physical assaults. She had agency. It now feels like she's the free floating algae nowadays. I need not even explain how having screen time does not equate to having the show focused on your journey. In fact all the last episodes have super random skippable scenes of Imlie that yes kept her in view but not in mind and definitely not in heart. Quality over quantity any day. If they give her something solid, some poignancy, some authenticity I'd anyday be satisfied seeing her for 5 minutes each episode. In fact I'd prefer to see her that way ,without having to see her constant ott antics or her making usual sorry face but not really moving a finger to change anything about her life. Most of her scenes doesn't lead to anything and therefore has no impact.
For e.g , the one with Sundar where she found out that he's not educated. They could've followed up the scene with an one minute scene of Imlie teaching him or both studying in front of Badke kaka. It'd have taken how much screen time?? Half a minute .
Yes , her relationship with Aditya has definitely improved. I'll give that. Aditya is slowly but surely getting fonder towards her. Congratulations to those who watch the show only for their relationship to unfold and I hope and understand how and why they're enjoying the show. But some of the things are jarring. Like , how Aditya is actually becoming fond of her. It si unclear as they hardly spent any time together. How do they even know each other?? How do they connect ?? Is it just because she got shot and Aditya saved her ?? So ,it's a bond forced by destiny and not organic or forged by natural friendship?? I'm sorry I wanted to see more than that. I needed more clarity. And for that I don't want to rely on analysis of imaginary layers in the storyline. It should be there interwoven into the basic fabric of story telling without having to resort to lame analytic clutches to see imagine them.
I wanted to see the journey and how they reached each point in their dynamics other than jumping from one point to another. I wanted to see the cooking process or else I can't enjoy the canned food .
In the last two weeks worth of episodes if I delete 70 - 80% of Imlie's scenes or edit them, it'd have absolutely zero change in the story, other than making it faster and more crisp and less cringey.
See what I mean??
In fact , I'm not at all hungry for increased screen time when I'll have to skip most of them anyway. A show I'm currently enjoying has a character that basically appears every 2 - 3 episodes and have 4- 5 minutes of screen time and it's bang on impactful. That is my favorite character and I see his 5 minutes in loops, mesmerized.
Also , she has stopped having any forethought about her life forward. Not just education, but anything, any aspect. And I'm tired of giving her the excuse of being 18 , at this point it has died post maturely as an explanation and ghosting as an excuse nowadays. 18 year olds are not so clueless, thoughtless or pointless in their existence ,be it in any village or city. I was 18 once too . We all had been. Moreover, its a radical change from the one we saw in Pagdandiya, her adversities instead of confusing her gave her a kind of steely resolve that was inspiring. Now she's an empty shell.of a random character.
I agree!I like the show but there is no progression for the main character,80 episodes later she is still a maid .I’m here for the love story but I also want to see progression of characters as well.I don’t know why they are doing 6 episodes a week when the story is lackluster. It’s better to have 5 episodes a week with good storyline than have an extra episode, half the time I’m skipping random scenes anyway
Heyecan nerede olacak.Hikayemiz aşkla başlamadı ana temada adi-imlie aşkı değildi. Her çeşit figür var burada.Biz mozaik deriz.Yani iç içe geçmiş çok kapsamlı bir show.Aşkın anlatılması yavaş sindirerekilerek ilerliyor.Aile yaşantıları yine öyle.3 ailenin sosyal yaşantısı anlatılıyor.Zengin-Fakir-Ortasınıf.Tabikide bunları anlatmak günde 20 dakikaya sığıyor.
Diğer bir şey karakterler öncelikle kendi iç dünyalarında birşeylerden emin olmadan açıklama yapmıyorlar.Buda uzamaya neden oluyor.

Hey - thanks for taking the chance and replying. I enjoy reading other people's opinions and when folks explain - it adds clarity to their pov. I see where you are coming from now. I personally would like for this show to showcase the PG wala Imli and strip out all the annoying kiddish cringeworthy things she has done...that would have taken half the content out. But end of the day its a daily soap and they need to cater to all kinds of audience - so I'm resigned to all this drama. I see now that my measure of story movement was based primarily on the Adi Imlie relationship and that needed time to develop. Is the growing attachment fully justified - probably not - other than to say there was latent attraction in the early days that was forged by the trauma they went through. But the time lag did bring out changes in Adi that evolved slowly through the episodes and not tied to a slip and catch or dupata flying. Since each episode in its separate entity has always been entertaining and story moving in the right direction and the quality of the overall show better than everything else out there - I guess I am a viewer content to sit back and enjoy and not rush the pace. The miss I see from both Aditya and Imli - is the lack of dialogue on what next? Will this continue indefinitely - what next? When will they tell the family - what does that mean for both of them. I think Imli is not going there - because she worries she may lose everything and Adi is not going there because he can no longer protect her under his roof. They are both not coasting simply - but not having the courage to face the consequences of the fallout. Where we are today - Adi is more concerned about hurting Imlie and what will happen to her - if the truth will comeout than even Moon or the rest of his family.
I think its both of their growing affection for each other that is causing the drag - neither knows whats next and is fearful to initiate any change. Also how can Imlie initiate college or any other aspect - on her own - she has nothing. Adi needs to start thinking - how long can this situation sustain - since they are not planning to tell the family maybe next step us to get her enrolled in college...so she has something to keep her occupied and grow. Maybe Adi needs Satyakam to come and give him a push again:)
Sorry my response is a little all over the place - tough day at work :) I wanted to respond but don't have much focus now.
