The movie is inspired from Stree and heavily dependent on Rajkumar Rao. Stree worked because it was well made, had novelty factor and good performances from all cast.

For Roohi to work, it needs good performances from all supporting cast and the story needs to be engrossing. It should not copy Stree but be different.

It looks like Stree except Veer knows that Roohi is possessed by a chudhail, Azfana. Paranormal version of Dr. Jerkyl and Mr Hyde...while Veer and Raj try to get rid of the chudhail...and looks like Roohi escapes so they drag her back to the cottage in the forest. They've also remade Shamur's Let The Music Play.

The movie entirely depends on performances. We know RKR and Varun will definitely do well...but haven't seen enough of Jahnvi in the trailer.

I'm a big fan and supported of Janhvi Kapoor. But... omg I don't think this is good at all. I'm worried.

They relied SO HEAVILY on the past. Using the DDLJ homage scene, the familiar sound tracks in the background, the successful Stree vibes... producers/editors do this when the source material isn't very good. Yikes.

This will definitely work because people now want to go outside and enjoy some cinematic entertainment plus it's a light hearted movie perfect for the situation right now.
