Looks like they are shooting scenes that give some background for the new entrant.

But what is Malini’s childhood avatar doing there? Are they going to compare upbringing to show why Aditya and Malini are so inherently unsuited?

I don't think she's playing Mayuri's (Malini's) character. If you could see all the pics, then you'd notice that there are four children (3 boys and 1 girl) with AD's mom-dad and chacha-chachi. That girl is probably playing the character of Rupali, since they are all cousins cum siblings. Whoever wrote that post (since the child actor is still very much of a kid) might have gotten it all wrong.

That’s what I initially thought but normally any acting kid’s social media accounts are never controlled by them.
