Respect for Kangana as actress?

They say you have to differentiate between the art and artist, but is it that easy? For the longest time, I tried to separate Kangana the artist from Kangana the toxic person offscreen, but now I have finally come to accept that I can never respect even her acting same as before. Every time she hits a new low and sparks off another hatred-filled speech, my respect for her as an artist also diminishes.I know that the ideal situation is when we can separate the two things, but I decided the day she called farmers 'terrorists' that I will never watch any movie of hers in the theatre as I used to.

Thoughts??

I used to watch the Cosby Show reruns until his crimes were revealed. Roman Polanski is supposed to be a great director, but I'd never watch a film of his.

Not just as my part in payback. They're not good enough to make me forget what they did as people and enjoy the show/movie. So it would be a waste for me to invest time and money.

Kangana is not as bad, but anytime I see her on screen, I'd be remembering her offscreen behavior.

Her acting just isn't good enough to make me forget the toxicity.

So I wouldn't waste my time or money on her, anymore.

Never respected in the first place. Most of her praise comes from hate towards other actresses.

I never found Kangna to be some path breaking actress to begin with. Yes, she nails the unhinged loony type characters, but that's it. And now thanks to her off-screen behaviour I have started to question whether she acts at all or she just keeps playing herself on the screen as well. The moment I see her face I start remembering her off screen antics & that puts me off. I haven't watched her last few movies & I intend to continue not watching her.

Hmmm...It doesn't matter to me, I guess. Actually, I haven't watched Kangana's movie much..hmm, Gangster, Queen and some No problem type movies. Haven't watched Tanu series.

I can watch Queen as before...

But, maybe it's because I am not from India? Hmm..her twitter posts are so ajab gazab but I don't understand totally everything like politics and all of India. So, maybe that's why. I can watch her movies without thinking about her offscreen persona.

Tbh I don’t even like her as an actress , like she’s good but nothing extra ordinary

She and Ajay are magical.

In recent times, absolutely. Before she was just obnoxious and misguided. Despite all the things people said about her I could give her benefit of the doubt and appreciate her art. Now she is extremely aggressive, and she spreads harmful lies. No more benefit of the doubt. Now anyone who brings up a crazy story about her I am like this woman is psychotic enough to do something like that. It's hard to separate that from her characters. I can't look at Alok Nath in Barjatya movies now without seeing a rapist. Just like that I can't see her character without seeing a psycho, unhinged woman.

Also it makes me judge her work harshly. No one is perfect so before I could overlook her flaws in acting. Now her flaws are super apparent and I can't overlook them.
