Today our beloved show completes’ a year! Woaahhh!

A Virtual Hug to EVERYONE!

Today, 11th Feb is indeed a special day for all of us! On this day, our beloved show, Barrister Babu completes a Year. It's been a wonderful journey for us. It began with that promo, which still gives us goosebumps. Our little Bondita in the Barrister attire taking the seven rounds of the sacred fire, embarking a new journey along with Anirudh. This show has raised many questions that are still unanswered. A woman is considered Shakti ka Swaroop, and the same woman goes through domestic harassment, societal discrimination, honor killing, facing all types of mental and physical torture in the name of rituals, and so on. Bondita, an eight-year-old girl who had just begun her life was married off forcefully to an eighty-year-old man. Her supposed to be wedded husband when passes off she is forced to be Sati. That whole sequence when Anirudh, a 22-year-old Barrister saves her from the trap of evil rituals was considered the most powerful track in the history of Indian Television. And that journey began from that moment. Every character has played an important role in this beautiful journey. Where we witnessed the beautiful growth in bonds, we saw the breaking of relationships, change in characters, and a little negativity too. But as it's said everything can not be gold. Where ITV goes all about saas-bahu, this show came up with important concepts of Education, Women Empowerment, Heera-Mandi, Sex education, Mensuration, Girl Schooling, and many more. All the characters, be with negative and positive have made this show beautiful. Every track has been a women-centric track. So let's began to have a wonderful look at this journey all from the beginning.
The show began with Anirudh marrying an eight-year-old for the sake of her life, saving the innocent soul from the cruel rituals. Anirudh a 22year old barrister who had already given up this heart to a pretty woman Suadamini. He was going to propose the women of his heart but God had different plans. “Chaya to Roshni main sath deti hai lekin main Anirudh Roy Chaudhary is ladki ka Andhkar main bhi sath dunga”. Those words were like music to our ears. The fitoor he had for a change made him married to an eight-year-old. Taking support of Child marriage to stop sati, might be considered a rational decision but was hence proved the best decision in the future.

Anirudh had to answer many questions and face many consequences for his action. Suadamini’s trust was broken, Kaka felt ashamed and his baba was furious with his action, but again he finds his solace when he was with Bondita.

After the marriage, the first challenged he faced was the bed-wetting issue. More than the physical body challenge it was the trust that was missing, from both sides. Bondita where she was more in need of her mother and there was Anirudh who was in his fitoor of proving his father that yes he can be a change. They fought the battle together which was their first victory. The importance of hygiene was highlighted and the superstitious beliefs of people were criticized.

Then came up the education vs ghralaxmi challenge with a lot of conspiracy from his family. Kaka Sasurji gave his best in teaching Bondita and he succeeded but Anirudh failed because of his dilemma to choose between Suadamini and Bondita. Unfortunately, this time both were unaware of their real enemies. In this track, we were shown that how education play's such an important role. People like Brijwasi can easily robe and Innocent girls like Sampoorna can easily be harassed by their in-laws. We also saw the beautiful bond of Bondita and her Smpoorna didi. How that innocent girl went into the dark hole and stayed there for hours doing Bhagwaan ji ka jhaap for her Smapoorna didi's bakris.

Again trust was missing! Which unfortunately ended Anirudh and Bonita's relationship for a while. Anirudh was kept in darkness and his trust was misused by Miss Bhauwmik and her family. Which unfortunately resulted in him throwing Bondita out of his life.

Separation from each other's lives caused a lot of pain to them. Bondita, where she was going through the tag of being called a Chodi Hui Aurat and was suffering. Her evil mama - Mami even refused to let Anirudh know about her sufferings and there Anirudh was being accused and was being forced to get married for something he wasn't at fault. They were away yet so near. Bondita met Rasiya who in a way helped her.

Mama Mami became so ruthless that they decided to sell their own blood to a place like Heera Mandi. Anirudh was late by a second and there she was sent to a place like a hell. The whole journey in Heera Mandi, where Bondita being unaware of the place trust's a brothel owner Tara Bai. In this track, we could see the bonding of Rudhita getting stronger. Where Anirudh was restless every minute for her, she was there fighting her own battles. Her belief in Durga Maa made her unite with her Patibabu. We can say that Rasiya was that farishta that Durga Maa had sent on the land to protect this soul from evil like Tarabai.

Like that they faced many challenges together as a strong one unit. Be it fighting for education for girls, or fighting with superstitious believes. This show has dealt with many topics which we often don't see in other ITV. And at the moment they are dealing with the most sensitive topic, Mensuration. We hope and wish to see more such type of tracks in this wonderful show.
