I can’t accept Sirat for kathik.

they have nothing in common... and yes the age difference is very important because age brings in maturity with life experiences..karthik has been through so much pain and loss his whole life...and now he’s struggling to manage his 2 young children. HE doesn’t need a boxing crazy loud young woman to take care of now... why what will they show that this loud young woman is suddenly going to settle down and become a good wife and mother to 2 ready made children. 21 is the age to go out and explore your dreams...nobody really gets married until they are close to 30 now..as they are establishing their careers and fulfilling their career ambitions...I’m an overseas viewers and this is the current trend where I live ...young people don’t think about marriage until their late 20s and they sorted out their careers...and forcing a 21 year to marry a widower who’s close to 40 with 2 children will be like the most atrocious thing that can happen....🤦🏻‍♀️.. for me I would just like Sirat to end up being naira ..they can just write another illogical story to make thAT happen...and then everything will be sorted. Karthik will get his naira and the children will get their mother and the show can end happily then🤷🏻‍♀️

Also get ready for the numerous comparisons everyone will make between Sirat and Naira - who’s the ideal woman ever. Sirat’s gonna feel like cr@p but will slowly win everyone by becoming like Naira. I can see that happening 😆 esp with Dadi.

Oh these Goenkas will treat her like dirt. Naira and Kartik were matched in many ways (equals) and yet Naira became a crybaby later. Imagine Sirat who’s anyway much much beneath them (as per their standards). She’ll have the doormat part of the character covered soon (as show progresses)

I wouldn’t mind the age gap but it has to acknowledged and the story written/presented accordingly.

You know you may be on to something. I have observed this trend for FLs to be 19-20 in his shows. In Akshara’s time too all the girls who were married were 19, barely 20 and mothers by 21 or something was “wrong” with them.

I think when he felt Akshara was becoming “old” he introduced Tara (another 19 year old) and straightaway went to a wedding track. It didnt work out so he scraped it and brought post leap 19 year old Naira and her marriage track.

Also in his spinoff too, mishti kuhu are also 19/20 and married.

anupama is not a “love story” as such so he had to get a middle aged woman. That’s an outlier from his usual way. So can be counted as an exception.

LOL do you remember when it was Rashmi's turn to be the 20yo bride, Akshara was made to feel too old for the young crowd (even though she must have been only 22-23 at that point & was still younger than Naitik who never faced that sexism)
