Why can't we accept Sirat and Kartik lovestory? What's wrong? - Page 2

Yes it is for entertainment but the feelings shown in the dramas make us feel happy and sad, isn't it? Those are real life feelings. I agree there is non sense shown in all serials but that doesnt mean that we only think as a fan. I mean that do Kartik doesnt have a life? He doesnt deserve to be happy again and get love again? Only because the fans dont want to see Kartik with someone else, so he should be shown crying in the serial all the time. As a fan also why do you want your favourite character to suffer?

Unfortunately, that’s the problem with tv dramas. We get so attached to the characters that we start living with them in a dream world. Here Naira’ fans are not Shivangi fans. They would rather have Naira coming back from the dead than accepting a look like Sirat.

I had written a FF with the same storyline for Zindagi ki Mahek. I did not get much response on that forum as people kept asking me to somehow prove my new lead Aditi was Mahek magically surviving a fatal accident. I had to explain again and again that it’s not going to happen. Finally I got so fed up that I finished the story much earlier than I would have liked.
Its the truth that people move on in real life, but expect the their onscreen idols to keep suffering for the sake of love and glory.

Having said that, I agree the treatment here in yrkkh leaves much to desire. Sirat has failed to garner any sympathy and Kartik comes across like a blundering idiot. They will eventually fall in love, we all know that. But the makers have rushed their story. I hope they get their act together before it’s beyond redemption.

Atleast someone agreed on my post. This is the problem with all the forums. They all just want to follow as a fan but doesnt want to see things in the correct manner. And when something wrong is shown in an episode everyone will jump and started blaming. But when some people like me challenge their blind fan following, they dont like.

I haven't participated on this forum in a long time and neither have I watched the show for ages. But I've been reading posts on this forum and wanted to add something here. Of course Kartik deserves to move on and be happy. But in order to do that, he needs to process his grief of losing his wife first. From what I've read, it's only been a few months since Naira's death. Usually widows and widowers take much longer than that to move on and remarry. Kartik needs to make peace with the fact that Naira is dead before he can happily move on without guilt of betraying Naira's memory.

Secondly, there is too much of an inequality between Kartik and Sirat. Sirat is only 21 while Kartik is definitely in his late 30s. Sirat is also not as rich as Kartik. In such a relationship, Kartik already has the upper hand in terms of money and overall life experience. They are not on equal footing, which makes their pairing unpalatable. I'm not saying that age difference or financial differences should interfere between people who truly love each other, but in this case, the relationship would be way to unhealthy if the girl is so dependent on Kartik. It would be a different situation if Sirat were 31 and Kartik were in his late 40s. Or if Sirat were at least financially independent and comfortable.

I also agree with other comments that Kartik falling in love with his dead wife's lookalike is creepy, but you've already negated that so I won't go there.

They were shown as eternal lovers. If they were shown as regular husband wife then nobody would have problem with Kartik and Sirat.

I'm sorry but i'll have to disagree as well. Folks on here already covered the reasons why Sirat and Karthik together are problematic and I stand by those too.

Not only will they kill the essence of kaira , destroy their legacy but show kartik with a new girl and cycles of separation divorce milan in a loop. How many times will kartik marry lol for entertainment purpose ok...

It's ok to like the new characters as kartik sirat but its unfair to ask kaira fans to accept them. Like..its not done to question ones love , whether fictional or real. Moving on is easier said than done. Least the makers could do it to preserve their legacy. It wouldn't be as tough if it was another girl and not shivangi.

Like someone else said , kartik naira love will look meaningless ..the story will become senseless day by day.

Finally a positive post in this forum. I am enjoying their track. Somehow I think there is a twist and they will probably show her as Naira in the end. Their is 50% chance of this happening. Or she is probably Naira's lost sister idk.

Lol...completely agree. The story is already overstretched beyond limits and exhausted it's potential. Makers have failed to introduce plausible new alternatives to Kaira. I think they should have just wrapped the show with Kaira living happily ever after.

I see your point. Any die-hard fan would feel the same. But as I said in my introductory comment, I am not a regular viewer of this show, so don't feel about Kaira the way you do. However, I do feel this track is rushed and I also agree that Sirat is too young for Kartik.

I have no problem with moving on per se, hence I agreed with the original poster. But as I wrote before, this track in yrkkh is could have used better thinking and handling on the maker's part.

PS - Having said that, if you are not a ZKM fan, do give a go to my FF, maybe I'll get a reader who would appreciate my story for what it is and not as a die-hard Mahek fan

But yeah I do like ye rishta , I may not be watching the complete thing but I have been watching it since the first episode..I had given up on akshara naitik also midway and kartik naira also. 😆N again start watching if some interesting track comes up. So I am not a die hard fan types. I have seen kartik and sirat ..afterall makers care for trps alone and not about the fans so they will go ahead with them. Rs killed the essence of akshara naitik he might do the same with kaira.and kairat too as the time comes.

I am a little curious about the outcome of this. If kartik and sirat fail it wont be bec of kaira but it will be bec of bekar ke recycled tracks.... .yr was one of the shows which I used to watch for its positivity . With ppl like sirats family its looking like another k soap .👎🏼

Kairav will not accept Rhea. He’ll accept sirat because she’s look a like naira who’ll help him, looks after him and love him as her son.
