Really glad that the rickshawallah scene didn't turn out to be silly at all. It was the same firecracker Imlie. The scene between Aditya and Imlie was really sweet. I really like how Imlie can bring out this lighter side of Aditya so effortlessly. The scene where Aditya kept on smiling to himself long after Imlie was gone from the room basically capture their relationship. It's very organic. This is exactly how their relationship should progress, completely sepearete from the Aditya-Malini track.

Gashmeer acted really well today. How he let out Aditya's long held frustration was very nicely done. What stood out for me was how Aditya said to Malini, let's not talk about it and pretend nothing is wrong in our relationship. Seems like one thing he is realising or getting used to from his interaction with Imlie is opening up. He doesn't feel like holding everything inside or pretending everything is hunky-dory anymore. Imlie is slowly bringing out the real Aditya without any of them realising it.

It was nice to see Malini finally confronting her mom. Maybe she didn't do it before because she didn't want to antagonize her mom. Now that she is married, she has every reason to. Not sure why Dev keeps on mentioning Imlie's name infront of Anu even after knowing how much that upsets her. Maybe that's to show the lack of understaning in their relationship or how insensitive they are towards each other's feelings. I think it was also signification how quickly the focus shifted from Aditya-Malinit's problem to Dev-Anu's problem. Most probably Malini was always so eager to get away from her parent's problems, she most probably never had the courage to see the cracks in her own relationship. Growing up in a bitter household most probably made her an escapist.

I really liked Imlie and Sundar's scene. There is something really pleasant about their friendship.

Precap - I was like "woah!! What was that?" 😳😆 Pretty sure it's either Imlie's imaginaton or they are acting out Aditya's apology to Malini.

Very nice analysis as always, Mayuri :)

Agree with all your points....I was also pleasantly surprised that the Rickshaw scenes didn't turn out to be some fillers but actually had some point leading into this epi😆.....thank god for a return of firecracker Imliya....big relief to see her back in all her charm.

Gashmeer did indeed act very well.....worth noting that he always enacts Adi's frustrations out in a natural manner wherein you can understand why Adi feels the way he does from his viewpoint......and the conversation between him and Malini was quite naturally built up to highlight the issues they have both long brushed under the carpet.

@bold: With Imlie, the whole organic shift is what always makes me smile......she has a knack of making him smile and then making us smile along with both of them.....she was just darn CUTE in that scene with the way she demanded detailed praise from him like a ziddi kid😆....just again made me think all she wants in life is a few words of praise and encouragement and that is enough to make her feel on top of the world.....bahut pyari bacchi hai.

Just a couple of days back I was wondering if Adi will ever back off from the constant put downs towards Imlie.....and he pleasantly surprised me today.....lol by Adi standards, that was high praise indeed for him to say, "Tumne theek kiya"😆.....and I was glad to see the affectionate "Jhalli" back rather than the repetitive annoyed Jhallis we had seen from him in the last 4-5 epis.

I also agree with your point about keeping the AM relationship seperate from the AI one and that is when the story works best.....they are both on their own tracks and while I understand some overlap will happen, but constantly forcing the characters onto each other becomes a turn off......today's epi was well balanced after many days.

The plot is inherently tricky as you pointed out....on the surface, anyone would think it's a weird storyline of two marriages.....but it is the treatment of the complicated relationships in the story, the depiction of the viewpoints of all involved that makes it work.....along with ofcourse very good casting.

Denial runs much deeper in Adi so it will have to be Imlie who becomes conscious of her changing feelings first.

Adi will push Imlie away in guilt at even the smallest sign of feeling a draw towards her. And I still think him realizing his incompatibility with Malini will be a bigger challenge because the story will keep thrusting Imlie in between them unwittingly to give him a scapegoat to blame for his failing relationship rather than understanding that the failure is independent of Imlie.

@bold : and how? The first time Imlie had to take a bullet for him to come out of his denial mode and accept the responsibility of the marriage , not sure what she will have to do this time. But the thing is that every time, he is pushed her away or tried to, they have come more closer.

I doubt he will blame her for his failing marriage but yes, his frustration, anger etc are all going to come out in front of her. It happened before to and it will happen again where he is this bubbling ball of anger who drops on her, then she points out things which unwittingly calm him down even though he does not accept it. It happened before too, the bus stand scene, the SR scene in PD and most recently the fight and it will happen again.

I really do not want the writers to use Imlie as a reason for fights between Malini and Aditya. It should be independent, like today where they are parallel tracks. Yes, the comparison/contrast should be there which is needed for Aditya as well as us viewers but I hope they do not use her as a reason.

Wow wow wow! Finally got a chance to catch up on the recent 2 incredible episodes. It's been a tough week at work for me (thank God it's over), so didn't even get a chance to fully relish them until today.

Your amazing posts kept me going guys. ❤️ Love reading your analysis of the recent Adilie interactions. Our Adilie in the last 2 epis were like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

I must say writers did a brilliant job by giving us an Adilie confrontration followed by an Adini confrontation. I don't know how ANYONE after watching those two scenes can still have any doubts remaining that Adilie are the more compatible pairing. They obviously want us to make these comparisons and you guys are spot on in the stark differences you picked up on. 👏

The most obvious difference and also most poignant one in my opinion is the simple fact that Adilie NEVER allow issues to fester between them and since it's usually Adi who has a problem with Imlie rather than vice versa, I love that he instantly seeks her out and lets all his emotions pour out without any hesitation. With Adini, they played the nasty game of avoidance at the first sign of troubled waters. Infact, Adi didn't even want to broach the subject. Malini literally had to coax and beg him to talk to her and then when he finally did start talking, MORE and MORE differences cropped up.

Another difference there is when Imlie defends herself during Adilie confrontations, she doesn't question the right Adi has to feel the way he does nor does she belittle his emotions. In contrast, Malini was too busy reminding him about his promise "never to argue" instead of trying to understand the hurt she caused him. On top of that she dismissed his feelings as "immature" which instantly made him retreat back to their "let's pretend everything is peachy" equation. He just walked away from it when he saw she just doesn't get him.

The body language difference was screaming out at us. Adilie were so damn intimate in that confrontration *fans self*. So heated, so passionate. He wouldn't allow Imlie to keep avoiding his eyes and demanded that she pay attention to him yet he was perfectly fine with granting his side profile to Malini throughout their confrontration. Also I just love how Adi and Imlie can't help but cry whenever they have a sparring of words especially from Adi's side. It's like he hurts himself everytime he cuts her with his words. Notice how he added "and I should have killed myself" after he said he should have let her die? On surface that looked like it was just added to soften the blow but I actually interpreted it as Adi pretty much indirectly expressing that he couldn't live in a world without Imlie. I mean if Imlie died, shouldn't that mean his life would be easier without this constant reminder of "nakli rishta"? ...so why even contemplate suicide? Compare that with his argument with Malini, his tone was bone-chillingly cold and he didn't even notice her tears let alone cry with her.

Coming to the aftermath of the Adilie confrontation, we got the cutest moment and the reason that was possible was because they were able to share their emotions fully and so nothing was left bottled up between them. Their smiles and comfort level came so easy. It was made even more special by the fact that Adi was in a stormy mood and still his adorable jhalli managed to uplift him by simply being herself. Her reaction to his praise was hilarious and I love that she chose to bring him tea in an attempt to make him feel better. Her selflessness, her ability to see past herself is what melts away all his tension and anger. She disarms him and now it seems to the point where he hopes for longer interactions with her (lol "bring me biscuits" eh?). He looked disappointed when Malini showed up and why doesn't she know he doesn't like green tea? Even that was put there to show us that 7 years isn't always enough to know someone. All it takes is being a special kinda jhalli 😉

Malini going to pretty much moan like a child about her marital problems to her mum and place blame on her was so damn immature. It just proved yet again that she completely missed the mark on what Adi was expressing to her. Even before their marriage, Mrs C has always put him down in terms of status but that never broke Adi and that was only because Malini used to get on the back of his bike in solidarity against her mum's taunts. The first time she broke this pattern was with the Switzerland situation. Even then Adi tried to express that it hurt him but ofcourse she guilt-tripped him into back-pedaling and apologising. This time is no different. It's the second time after their marriage that Malini chose Mrs C's show of status over him even though she knows this is such a sore spot for him. No doubt Malini's guilt-tripping and reaction from last time was still fresh in Adi's mind which is why he didn't bother trying to bring up the issue this time. It was at her insistence that he aired what he felt but yet again Malini put the blame on him, started getting emotional, reminded him of his promise not to argue and essentially made the whole thing about HER.

All in all, I absolutely love it. I'm glad the writers have finally moved away from trying to portray Malini as an idol of perfection. I like that they made Imlie retreat from all that Adini mess at the point of their confrontation so we could see things play out. I know ofcourse Imlie is still going to be on some mission to patch them up but I just hope they show that in moderation and are careful not to portray Imlie as meddlesome. Fingers-crossed things keep going on the right track. 😊

I know it seems very logical for Imlie to become conscious of her changing feelings but I don’t expect her to even understand what those feelings are. This is the girl who tried to understand her reaction to Adi’s touch by rubbing her back against a wall.😆

I really want Adi to feel the attraction first. Well like you pointed out, he obviously did from the first moment he set eyes on her in Pagdandiya but so much has happened between them after which cast a darkness over that spark, not to mention Malini’s presence but I feel slowly but surely Imlie being the bright light she is will dispel that darkness and yet again his attraction to her will surface.

That would be so perfect that I wish this precap hug is Adi dreaming. I want to see him first in full denial mode, then slowly drifting towards acceptance but still struggling for control around her whilst she’s naively unaware, flitting vivaciously around him, driving him loco! 😉

I wanted it be a dream (to keep true to where Adilie is at in their journey right now) but wanted the dream to be Adi’s. Lol can’t win them all I guess. 😆

I can't believe Adi could not see through the fact that Malini did not write the poem. During the wedding he knows Imli wrote the verse in his invitation card and she is also his wife. I did not like the fact that he was so oblivious of the fact that he had in fact another wife in the room. Disappointed.

LOL a dream is the only way they can keep the story going at this point....there is no way they would have shown Adi consciously hugging her out of the blue like this😆......he is nowhere near the stage to be dreaming about Imlie😆

This is consistent with the flow so far.....Imlie was the one who first felt conscious about his touch when he touched her arm that one time.....and now she is the one feeling drawn to him first too because she is just the more open hearted of the two by nature.....Adi has more walls up around him, along with the delusion factor about Malini.

I wanted to reply to your post earlier, but I only managed to get to it now😆

@bold: I really liked this point you made.....and I think that is part of the reason why she is among the very few people who manage to get through to him....even if she disagrees with him and lays out her own viewpoint, she doesn't belittle his emotions or his right to feel the way he does....and he doesn't get that with anyone else.

This point got reiterated in today's epi as well with the way Imlie talked to him about his temper and how he doesn't even realize how he gets carried away in his anger......

Once again, Adi needed Imlie to translate the situation for him when he wasn't willing to listen to anyone else.....and even after that, Adi is still in the delusion that only Malini understands him best😆
