Good morning sisterhood! π»π»π»
Chakram niwas ke 'Dum' me dum hai,boss.. ek Baar maar lo toh mahino mahino valid rehta hai π€π€ Prabodini ekadashi and Basant Panchami came in the SAME month according to Kaku π±π± can you get a bigger high than ordering festivals to fit into any month you like π
So, today's biggest revelations of the show: Ninad does accounts of monthly expenditure; Omkar has a business; Patralekha thinks bado ki daant bekaar lohe ko hathiyar bana deti hai and the Baap of all revelations: Karishma knows about the mahila Suraksha kanoon ( officer kaun hai, pata hai Kya? π
But memory is short. She won't remember the next time she joins in infliction of insult or injury on the same officer's wife.)
I was left aghast at the shamelessness with which Patralekha is propped as the "aadarsh bahu" for every reason on this earth... Naturally, when they smoke the same brand of 'Dum', delusions become reality. So Karishma has a tongue -- but wait,Sonali the saas is very adept at passing the buck to Sai -- and everyone gladly accepts.
The scene was telling -- the respect in a joint household almost always depends on the position one enjoys professionally. Mohit's reluctance to see reality and make a wise choice to shoulder responsibilities is a very real possibility that many passionate artists face. But unfortunately, it is true that one needs money to survive. Obviously, he is born to rich parents -- Omkar is said to have a business and Sonali is a mine of gold. Now, given the time that Omkar spends drinking zehereeli chai and spitting venom in that zillat arena, I wonder what kind of business he runs -- must be marketing the Didi-chaap Dum-- but it is definite that he has no respect too. If he did, would his son have been treated this way -- and the compulsion to side with Bhavani even when the son and daughter in law are being put through humiliation and being called a 'nithalla' breaking 'muft ki rotis'..
Now, ideally parents like Omkar and Sonali could either push the son to live his dream with full backing and help him realise his dreams or help him find his feet. But I doubt their parenting skills that seem to be forever dictated by Bhavani -- it is appalling how they can't take a stand for the son, who definitely lacks the kind of parental support one needs to see life in the real sense and such bad examples as parents the two have been with the only aim to have the son enter the good books of the rigid matriarch.
The tension in the relationship between Mohit and Karishma is visible. She has to bear the brunt of being the 'unchahee' bahu, mainly because the husband has no standing. The constant comparison with Virat's professional achievements are an indication of the fact that if Mohit hadn't been 'irresponsible', perhaps Omkar and Sonali would have been able to have Karishma get more recognition than she currently has. Karishma speaking for herself was much needed -- why should any woman have to go through such humiliation and in reality, there is no one who can speak for hee because in her need to vent out her frustrations she has ended up being a traitor to both teams of the house.
I loved how Ashwini stood up for Mohit and Karishma. For a change, even Didi decided to console Karishma. I was surprised when she began talking in sympathy -- only to realise that it was yet another attempt to sell the 'susheelta' wala dum to Karishma and the 'parivaar ki izzat' wala dum to family to get one more raise in the height of her aadarsh bahu throne... Someone tell her, the higher the rise the greater the fall π
>> I would not call that as consoling, it was telling that you should not talk back to the elders even if they put you down. She has never been on the receiving end, would love to see if she ever is.
Ashwini as a character is written well, she has been hurt the most in the house but she made sure all the children did get affection from her end.
It also shows that despite Virat's marriage to an 'unchahee' bahu as well, he still commands respect in the house because of his 'raub, rutba and shaan' as a police officer. Kam se Kam, the image is up for the society... But in Mohit's case, he's brought shame even to the sham that they seek. And karishma is blamed even for his unemployment. I am glad Mohit spoke about how it's a matter of dignity for his wife and him.
The positive side is Seven days - seven days is all it would take Mohit to join Team Sai.
Ninad's worry about 'jyada kharcha' in the month was so real π Becharon ne uss Namak wali chai ko bhi waste Nahi Kiya Hoga... Waise bhi Chavan niwas me ann aur chai Ka anadar Nahi hota...π
Does Kaku and her accountant Ninad know that chaheeta beta is planning to foot the hospital bill of some unknown namesake of their other chaheeta beta Samrat?
Now, simple math addition due to the magical calendar of Chakram niwas means that Chavan saheb spent 4.5 lakhs on medical college admission in the same month as he's spending money on this hospital bill. Ab 56100 ki salary mein se, how can all this be possible... Chavan Saheb ko bhi monthly Jeb kharcha milta hai kya? Bappa re! How many days are left for the ration to end?π
Samrat is evoking much emotion in the brother inside Virat -- it was enough for ACP to personally tend to the little girl (what happened to the mandatory presence of lady constables to do the job? Arrey! Ye kya hua? Phir se logic dhoondne Nikal gayi Janki π€£) Chalo we understand. But there are some unanswered questions:
1. Why didn't he inform Sai /Aai about his whereabouts to prevent the hysterical bout of vahini and the known nautanki of chakrams that will now follow?
2. How did Sai reach the hospital at 2:30 am? I assume that DIG uncle made the arrangement for being picked and dropped safely in husband's custody βΊοΈ
3. Are we to assume that everyone went off to sleep like good boys and girls till Delusional Didi will go and wake them up and so no one saw Sai leaving, Nahi toh DIG ko mahila Suraksha ke officer ko Naya case dena padta π
?
4. Three layered tiffin ke liye ITNA bada basket?? Whoever told me that she was carrying a huge basket to crack plates on the heads of those officers who went to her college, please STOP watching those misleading news items π€£π€£
>> Well she did carry a plate, napkin and bowls along with the tiffin in that basket, so we can give that benefit of doubt
5. Chavan Saheb did not want to know how she travelled at 2:30am?
>> Pehle Chavan Saheb pehle shock se ubhare, tab dusra jhel payenge na. Pehle hi shock mein, ye yahan mere liye, kaise/Kab/Kyun....inke jawab mile toh phir logic dhundne niklega banda
The scene was soft and short as usual -- ab toh aadat si hai mujhko aise jeene ki (2 minutes of the last of 23 minutes for navra Baiko)...
For a change, Virat gets to hear a word of assurance about Samrat. What a change from 'Wo aayega ya Nahi/Uske aane se kya fark padega' to Sai's "Wo zaroor aayenge... Sacche dil se ki huyi prarthana bappa sunte Hain..." and that tender touch of assurance on the shoulder -- sometimes that is all you need. I'm sure the dew-drop that she is, Sai herself will start sending out the most sincere prayers for Samrat π
>> The scene though short, made its impact. He just needed one reassurance after that terrace conversation and he got one. This is what i was referring to yesterday.
So Baiko did not want to start a fight about Navra's college visit in the hospital corridor -- who calls her immature? Teaser de diya lekin -- 'Aap mujhe Kahan sab batate Hain, mere bhi khabri hain... Policewale ki beti hoon...'
Dekh lo behen log, Jin Jin ko bhook lagi thi and hangry feeling ho rahi thi dinner scenes miss hone ke baad, take this candy. π€£ Today toh khaana khilane Ka hissab level ho gaya. Round 1 finish. π
Sai's monologue with Aaba's picture in civil clothes -- so she has two frames and they keep coming back to the dressing table whenever she needs to vent out -- was sweet! "Why is he doing my jasoosi when it's only a deal marriage?" Now, please ask this spashth question when he's home π
she also knows she's missing him and worrying about him.
By now, Virat should be able to tell who his Baiko will call if he ends up being incommunicado for a sufficient time -- she has a history in directly connecting with the bosses, bejijhak π
π and DIG Ka card toh Saath me lekar ghoomti hai, ladki π
I hope she's saved the number on the phone unlike someone-who-did-not save a certain phone number π
Uska khamiyaza has to be borne by the audience because jiska number tha, she roams around in corridors with cups full of freshly brewed dum and finds potential tasters π
So "Wo tumhe ignore Kar Raha hai?"wala Dum was almost sold -- Sai took one snort of it but thankfully snapped back to reality and did what she does best -- turn Miss Marple. Who said ki only IPS officer ACP Virat Chavan can find Sai Kisi bhi keemat par if she's lost? Baiko toh IPS officer ko bhi dhoondh Nikal Sakti hai..π
Topper hai topper.
What a difference in the level of worry and solution finding -- when Virat returns with Sai it will be for him to see (but he may not) that Mallika-e-Maturity has already decided that Virat is not coming back home because of Sai πππππ Isn't this a super speeding case of mental degeneration? I mean mujhe laga that 'khana khilana seriously le liya' was ultimate but Didi ke dum Ka asar toh gehra hota ja Raha hai... "Virat ne Sai ki wajah se toh Ghar aana Nahi chhodhh Diya.... Main Virat ko kho Nahi Sakti... Mujhe sabko Uthana padega" ππππ what's the song-- pata nahi ye Kaunsa nasha Karti hai, oh kaise kaise sapne bun Leti hai π€£
Chalo jitna khayali pulav pakayegi, pulav jalne ki smell bhi utni aayegi π
>> Matlab vahini ka dimag itna kaise chalta hain. Chalo ek benefit of doubt dete hain, she has seen them fighting, arguing etc. But ek banda apne ghar kyun nahi aayega.
And what do i make out of this dialogue. "Main Virat ko nahi kha sakti". Ye likhta kon sorry bolta kon hain.
But thanks to Ashwini, something within Sai has been ignited for her relationship with Virat. Ab no matter how much she tries, it will be difficult to extinguish the fiery heat of the inner flames.
>> I think its Ashwini's words and Virat's actions which is having their impact. The girl is gonna go on a roller coaster ride.
I am so keen to see Sai's journey in this relationship (as much as Virat's). They are both experiencing these emotions as a first. Even Virat has crossed the 1.47 hours level of love with Sai so he hasn't experienced this before. But Sai, especially, given her age, her traumatic past and also her self-restrain in the 'deal' which is much better than the man who offered her the dealwala Dum π
With Sai, her encounter with her raw emotions is going to be a challenge. It's noteworthy how she keeps reminding her self about the 'deal' (Virat never does it to himself)-- the dealwala Dum is the only one she actually bought as of now π€£π
But after the constant push from Ashwini, she's now beginning to do what a girl falling in love would -- she thinks often about Virat and only happy memories, she has a sense of belonging but it is accompanied by the uncertainty and frequent interruptions when Delusional Dum wali Didi walks into her space and sets up the stall...
Her 'tears' when Virat was feeding her the dinner gave away so much of that mixed emotion of desire, helplessness and anguish -- she knew that in her silence, she was trying to push him away although she could see he didn't want her to. She knew she didn't want to either but it was coming out of her conditioned self-restrain in matters related to their relationship. And then she gave in, held the hand and conveyed that they could live that moment -- he could finish the action of feeding her that dinner. It broke one layer of the wall between them.. Yet, she's yet to feel the same kind of physical desire that he seems to be already feeling for her...
As a result, the action seemed so effortless and right today. There was no hesitation and no awkwardness -- for a change, the moment was lived and a memory made. Another intimacy experienced and another affirmation exchanged.
Intimacy is the word and were well placed. Some one said why didn't he think of Sai and relate that girl with Sai because this scene was not for Sai but for Virat to see the care and affection. He didn't open much or say much, cause he didn't have to, she understand, absorbed and just was there. Which is what a true partner would do.
Isn't it the sunshine of these moments of emotional oneness that keep one doing on days when the sky is grey? The positive memory bank needs more such love deposits -- in the form of appreciation, affirmative actions, gentle words of assurance and even spending intimate moments together. Saving 'love deposits' for a rainy day always helps tide over negative times that haven't left the account holders with an irreparable emotional damage... π

Do you have a memory bank with a good balance? Go ahead and make a small withdrawal today -- may be of a person, who's no longer physically around but through the deposits made in the memory bank, you'd be able to bring him or her closer or alive again ππ₯° of course, it goes without saying that good memory balance is based on those experiences enjoyed without the stock from Delusional Didi ke dum Ki dukaan π
Nahi toh, we will have to sing: Kisi Ka sikka, Kisi ki daulat, Kisi Ka (1.47 wala) love, Kisi ki mohabbat... Yahan pe Zindagi ki har Khushi rupaiya hai ya dollar ya pound....
What's your good dum for the day? Coffee ββββ, tea π΅π΅π΅ or some chocolate treatπ§π§π§
