Part 8 Precap:

‘Aniket? Yeh wohi hai na jiske baare mein us din bataya tha,’ Virat asked, walking towards her. ‘Masta mast. Isliye college bheja tha tumhe?’ Kaku’s voice roared. Pakhi smirked. She wasn’t expecting Bhavani to come there. Virat closed his eyes to prepare himself. ‘Kaku aaj bus nahi aayi aur mujhe late nahi hona tha to usne mujhe drop kar diya,’ Sai tried to explain. ‘Bas!’ Kaku put her hand up. She was about to say something when someone behind Sai caught her attention.

Thank you. Sometimes I feel for a teeny bit bad for Pakhi. She'd only been married for a few days and her husband left.

Ideally she should not have married any1 with that kind of head space.... And thought through properly, specially after knowing that samrat An virat are related....

That was complete stupid .... 😁😁

An in general if new bride had a missing husband, it will be horrid.... True that!!

Back to your story 😁😁😁

Teaser looks interesting.... Virat seems to be lil practical with a guy dropping sai.... But Pakhi is sure mental case!!!

Continue soon!!

Thanks for all the comments guys. It really does mean a lot so without further ado, here's the next part.

Part 8

Aniket? Yeh wohi hai na jiske baare mein us din bataya tha.’ Virat walked towards her. ‘Masta mast. Isliye college bheja tha tumhe?’ Kaku’s voice roared. Pakhi smirked. She hadn’t expected Bhavani to arrive. Virat closed his eyes to prepare himself. ‘Kaku aaj bus nahi aayi aur mujhe late nahi hona tha to usne mujhe drop kar diya.’ Sai tried to explain. ‘Bas!’ Kaku put her hand up. She was about to say something when someone behind Sai caught her attention.

Samrat?’ Bhavani’s expression changed from that of anger to relief. ‘Kya baat hai. Sab ke sab meri swagat mein khade hai.’ He gave them a big smile. Pakhi stood rooted at the spot. They had only been to the base yesterday. ‘Having an IPS officer ask around yields quicker results,’ she thought. ‘Wahi ruko. Mujhe tumhari arti karni hai.’ Bhavani went to the mandir to fetch the plate. Virat couldn’t believe this; his Jeeva was back. He hugged him tightly. Samrat didn’t reciprocate. Instead he looked at Pakhi sadly.

Bhavani did his aarti. ‘Bhagwaan ka lakh lakh shukar hai ki tum aa gaye. Aaj ghar mein pooja bhi hai. Bas ye ladki aur kuch na karde,’ she looked at Sai in disgust. ‘Arey Kaku. Beta ghar lauta hai. Mujhe koi khana khilao.’ Samrat tried to break the tension. ‘Main Ashwini ko bol deti hoon khana laga de.’ Bhavani placed her hand on his cheek. Samrat hugged her and signalled Sai to leave from there.

The pooja went smoothly. Everyone was in such high spirits they forgot about this evening’s incident. Everyone but a certain ACP. Sai was getting ready for bed when Virat walked out of the washroom. ‘Yeh Aniket se kab dosti hui?’ he asked, sitting on the bed. ‘We met at the fest. We study together sometimes,’ she said, brushing her hair. ‘Aur ye baat tum mujhe kab batane wali thi?’ Sai could sense the annoyance in his voice. ‘Isme batane wali kya baat hai. Dost to sab ke hote hai. Aap ke bhi hai.’ She looked at him through the mirror. As if on cue, Pakhi appeared. ‘Virat,’ she said stepping, into the room. Sai was still angry at what she tried to pull earlier so she left from there. ‘Tum yaha? Jeeva itne dino baad lauta hai. Jao uske saath waqt spend karo.’ Pakhi wasn’t expecting this. ‘Bas good night kehne aayi thi,’ saying this, she left from there.

Sai came to the balcony for some peace and quiet. When she saw Samrat standing there, she turned to leave. ‘Maine tumhe daant khaane se bachaya aur tum ne mujhe thank you tak nahi kaha,’ he said, without turning. Sai didn’t know how to approach him. She expected him to be stuck up like the majority of the family. However he did save her today. She took small steps and stood next to him. ‘Thank you Samrat Sir,’ she said looking ahead. ‘Sir?’ he burst out laughing. He had a hearty laugh. ‘Maana ki umar main tumse bada hoon iska matlab yeh nahi ki tum mere naam ke baad itne bada sir laga do.’ Sai looked at him all confused. ‘Ek kaam karo. Tum mujhe Dada bulao.’ He was still smiling. ‘Yeh theek rahega.’ They both stood there in silence. ‘I see you’ve met,’ Virat's voice broke their thoughts. ‘Beth na Jeeva. Aaj poori raat baat karenge.’ Virat gestured to Samrat. ‘Main bohot thak gaya hoon.’ Samrat wished Sai good night and turned to leave. ‘Waise bhi Pakhi wait kar rahi hai,’ Virat said, smiling. ‘Haan tumhari vahini wait kar rahi hogi.’ Samrat emphasised on the word vahini.

Hearing the door open Pakhi closed her eyes, pretending to sleep. Samrat knew she wasn’t really asleep. He grabbed his pillow and went to the guest room. Pakhi breathed a sigh of relief. The next morning she on the terrace doing her yoga when she saw Sai leave the house. As she approached the corner, she saw Sai sat on a bike and the two of them left. ‘Will you ever learn, Sai?’ she thought to herself.

In the evening, Sai entered the house carrying the groceries. ‘Wahi ruk jao.’ Bhavani shouted from the sitting area. ‘Ab kya naya natak hone wala hai,’ Sai thought to herself. She ignored Bhavani and stepped into the living area. ‘Suna nahi tumne?’ Bhavani continued. Samrat, who was in the study rushed to the living area.
