Chapter - 1

It was a Sunday, Mr.John woke up by 8 in the morning he saw his kids were still sleeping; he got out of bed, got freshen up, took shower and went in search of his wife; she was busy in the kitchen he hugged her from behind and wished her good morning, she smiled and pushed him saying don't behave as if we got married yesterday, he said is there any rule when to hug wife and when not to hug? She said John I am not in a mood to argue with you, here is your coffee and I know you are here for this, he laughed saying troubling you makes my job easy, imagine if I had asked for coffee; you would have asked me to wait for 5 to 10 minutes but now within a minute coffee mug is in my hand. She said very clever now go wake up our little ones, I don't wanna be late for Sunday service. Sipping his coffee he walked out saying I will take care of that.

Within an hour all four of them left the house; John made sure his house was locked well, he drove his car and they reached church on time. After the service they spent some time in the church compound talking to few relatives and friends after which his children started troubling him to take him out for lunch; John was supposed to meet his old friends in the noon so he convinced his children that he would take them for breakfast and they agreed.

Mr.John was a perfect husband and a loveable father, he lived his life for his wife and kids, his world was revolving around them. After having breakfast they all reached home, his wife became busy in the kitchen and he was playing with his children.

It was already 1pm John heard his phone ringing, he looked around for his phone but he couldn't find, he said Jency where is my phone she replied from the kitchen, how would I know John? Check in the bedroom, he walked in and his mobile started ringing again which made his job easy to find his mobile. He answered the call; he said sorry Ajith I missed your call, I am getting ready sharp 1:30 I will leave my house and meet you near the bus stop let's travel together from there.

After disconnecting the call John looked at the clock, it was already 1:20, he rushed into the washroom to freshen up; he splashed water on his face and looked at the mirror for a second he felt someone's presence, he quickly turned around to check what it was but he couldn't find anyone, he convinced himself saying happens it's just an imagination, he took his towel wiped his face and walked out of the washroom.

John got ready and started searching for his watch, he asked Jency did you see my watch from the kitchen she replied it should be on the dressing table John, he replied if it is on the dressing table why would I even ask you? She said check properly, he searched again but he couldn't find, his wife came from the kitchen rumbling, how many times have I told you to keep things in proper place so that you need not search again, he said I am getting late search for my watch, she looked at the dressing table and said oh God is this not your watch John? He was surprised to see his watch on the dressing table, he remembered searching there twice it was not there, he said I searched twice but didn't find it, I'm sure you hid it somewhere, she replied now the blame is on me? Let it be I have to cook for my children you please carry on, she gave the watch in his hand and walked out.

John received another call from Ajith, he looked at the watch it was close to 2pm without answering the call he started combing his hair, he again felt someone was standing behind him, he turned around to check who it was but he couldn't find anyone, he thought his wife was playing some prank with him, he slowly peeped into the kitchen and she was busy cooking, he came back to his room looked around but he found nothing so he ignored and took his bike key, and this time he heard someone saying 'JOHNNN' he sat down in shock, he got scared and his name was echoing again and again in the room.

Who is playing these games with John? Is it someone he knows?

Chapter - 2

John felt his name was echoing all over he was agitated, his wife walked in and said "you are late... and how come you are sitting so relaxed?" He ran to his wife and said "Jency can you hear that? She said, Hear what? He replied" listen carefully someone is calling me by my name" she laughed and he said "I am serious now stop laughing", she said "John do you remember you got a new toy for Liya last week? Look she is playing with that" John said "what am I talking and what are you saying?" She said "I will tell you give me a minute", she called her daughter Liya and asked her to get that doll which her dad got her, liya got the doll and Jency called out John's name and it started echoing; John took a deep breath and smiled looking at Jency, she started teasing him.He got a call from Ajith, john said "now Ajith has saved me from you, I shall leave and you can continue teasing me once I am back". He ran out saying bye Liya, bye Ziya.

John started his bike and while riding he laughed at himself thinking how he was frightened. He reached the place where his friend was waiting for him, Ajith gave him a deadly stare, John said "sorry dude, come-on let's go, they must be waiting for us".

They both reached restaurant, where his 3 other friends (Sean, Ahilan and Sandeep) were waiting for them, they greeted each other and sat down, they ordered some starters, hot drinks and started discussing about their present life, work etc and then the topic slowly moved to their college days, those sweet memories, ex girlfriends, their failed loves all looked so excited while the discussion moved to college days but John looked so lost, Sean asked john" is all fine with you dude?" John said "yup I am fine Sean" Sandeep softly whispered "what happened John? Roslyn's memories?" John nodded his head and walked away saying I will go use the washroom, Sandeep too walked with him.. John splashed water on his face and looked at the mirror he couldn't see his image all he saw was Roslyn's face, he blinked his eyes twice and looked at the mirror and now he saw his own reflection. Sandeep asked" are you ok John?"." No dude I am not" said John, "Everything happened because of me, I am unable to erase her memories from my mind, even now like an idiot I sit and search for her on all the social media sites, I still feel bad about myself for what I did?" To which he Sandeep replied but listen and they heard Ajith yelled "what are you both discussing here come on let's go, it's once in blue moon we get such chance let's not waste our time" and took them with him.

Looking at John; Ahilan said "here is our college days hero, all girls were behind him starting from Juniors to seniors", Ajith said "oh yes do you remember Roslyn? Our Sean tried to impress her so badly but she didn't even look at him, she was so much behind John", Sean said" yeah I was skeptical about them, but I still wonder what happened to her?" Why did she...? Sandeep interrupted "Sean forget that ask Ajith how many love failures he's got in his life?" They all aughed out loud and Agilan said "failures doesn't matter Sandeep what matters is with all those failures he still managed to have a love marriage". They were all having fun except John, Ajith asked "why do you look so disturbed?" John managed to say "I am having a bad headache and that's it". Sandeep slowly whispered "John now forget all that and try to be normal if not everyone will start questioning you". John sipped water and keeping Roslyn's thoughts aside he joined the gang and happily spent time with his friends.

Finally they winded up, John said "Sandeep why don't you stay with me for some more time?"Sandeep said "I can John but you will again and again talk about Roslyn so you better go home spend sometime with your daughters, you will feel relaxed", John agreed and started his bike, he dropped back Ajith from where he picked and finally reached home.

He knocked the door, Jency opened the door, smiled and asked him "so how did you enjoy your day with your friends?" He said it was good and walked straight into his room, changed his dress, freshened up and hit the bed, he closed his eyes by then his daughters Liya and Ziya jumped on him, he gave a pat on their cheeks, they forced him to come play with them, he managed to convince them saying "it's already 8pm you both go have your dinner and sleep I am a little tired but sure let's play tomorrow" they agreed to him and went back to the hall.

Jency made her little ones to eat, she put them to sleep in their room and walked into her bedroom.

John had not even switched on the lights in his room, the minute Jency walked in she screamed

JOHN, JOOHN!!!. John who had almost slept opened his eyes in shock and he saw his wife screaming he ran to her asking what happen Jency? Her eyes were closed, he shook her "Jency what happened?" She said "someone is standing near the bed", he looked at the bed but didn't find anyone, he switched on the light and checked again but no one was around, she slowly opened her eyes looked at the bed and said "I saw someone was standing beside you", he said "beside me?Who can get into our room? may be it's your imagination", she repeated "no John I clearly saw someone standing", he made her sit and gave her a glass of water, she kept repeating that she saw someone, John tried to divert her mind, he got food for them, while eating John convinced her saying " looking at your own shadow you might have gotten scared", Jency smiled saying "yes may be John but I got too scared", John started pulling her legs they both laughed out loud and now, on the spur of the moment John felt some third person's presence in the room.

Whats the mystery behind Roslyn? Is she alive? Did John have something to do a breakup?
