The PC fan above got offended and I have apologized to them in that regard. My intention was not to drag PC work but it’s true that it’s sad to see an actress of her caliber being regarded as a brown Kim Kardashian. That’s my whole point.

I will not say Deepika is a good actress but about the accent comments those are not fair nor good. Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek -- did they have "proper" American accents? In my view there is no real need to have a uniform accent. Its okay to have ac accent due to the differnt country you come from. Its only her acting talent which is not quite up to par -- accent really shouldnt matter so much.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to belittle PC or anything but I think it’s infuriating being one of the best actress of your generation, competing with the likes of Vidya Balan and being considered as a TV actress in another industry. I know Bollywood is trash and ageist but the amount of recognition she got for her talent here will she able to get it in the west even after working with so many big studios? I hope she will do good work that will highlight her talent, that’s all I can wish for her.

TV actress in Hollywood aka straight to DVD actress is not the same thing as TV actress in India.
