I felt the dialogue was for himself and Sai and their differences in perceiving things which he is subtly putting across.

why the sideway glance to Sai. Now he doesn’t like her or what

He was indirectly telling Kaku to leave Sai alone and don't create a scene out of it as he knows that Kaku doesn't like Sai...also he was telling Sai ankhon ankhon mein that since she doesn't get on well with Kaku just let it be,, don't get into an argument..go to college...don't waste time...

It was directed at Sai but not as a reflection of his feelings but more as a reflection of Kaku's feelings to Sai he was basically very politely letting Kaku know that "I know you don't like her but do you have to seek her out and pick on her? Can't you just let her be?" 😆

At least that's how it seemed to me which is also why I think Kaku did the whole drama of "Let me apologise" she knows her age is the only advantage she has with Virat🤣

I too believe he was trying to tell kaku to leave Sai alone if she didn't like her.

But believe me, if he doesn't tell PP off for taunting Sai, then it would be a major off for me.

Then they are changing the character itself...

Sai is taking everything he says at face value, she's connecting every negative comment to herself because of his behaviour the last two days.
