And mine was quite good. We had enjoyed the festival😆

Done with the greetings using my own poetic lines & those who don't get it, once again simply wishing them😃

and those who celebrate it by other names, this is 4 u all😳

So, as it's a festival day celebrated across whole India and here festivals are incomplete without sweets, so I have some Home Made Sweets for u all 😊,

Also, it marks the beginning of spring season🤗, so sharing a pic of rose that blossom in my balcony.

✨How Do I Celebrate?

We celebrate it in a very simple way. Just like other days, it starts with cleaning of the house. After taking bath offering water to Sun God and then doing Pooja along with offering sweets to Gods. Apart from this, we visits our neighbors, friends & relatatives on this day, wishes them and distributes sweets to each other.

A fair also happens at the place, where I live, which has various stalls of foods, games, clothes, handicrafts, working models of students and many more. Every year the organisers choose a theme, and decorates all stalls accordingly. Some competitions also takes place. Bonfires are also there around which people gather, sit and talk. It also acts a source of warmth in winter nights.

But this year it was cancelled. So it was just like other day this year.

Not exactly everything, only described the first one in detail as it was important to know what kind of relationship Sun God & Lord Shani share to understand this day's astrological, religious & cultural significance.

Second one I only focused on Bhagirath & Ganga. The story actually starts with King Sagar. Third one I didn't quote the lines & that upnishad one, ended it in single line.

Also in fourth I cut most of the things, and short it to just 2 lines thinking that someone else will give details if they made post abt the fair held there. Same way I also cut the tale of worshipping Lord Indra on Bhogi day.

So in my view, I only touched a little portion of the story described in holy books or tales which are reason behind our religious & cultural beliefs.

Nope I m not a writer. Even I don't write poems. During schooldays I had wrote some. Now I only write few lines whenever it clicks up in my mind😆
