You all 3 want me to post more such lines, so here is another one for this thread.

Til-Gud Ki Seekh

Til kisi anth ko darshaye,

Gud achhe aur mithaas ka suchak kehlaye,

Inn dono ke mishran se bana har pakwaan,

Zindagi ki do(2) seekh sabko sikha jaye.

Har Anth Ek Nayi Shuruaat Kehlati Hain,

aur

Har Nayi Shuruaat Mithe* Ke Saath Ki Jaati Hain.

*Here 'mitha' not only means sweets but also stands for good & positive thoughts.

^ This poem is good as well 😃.

And that's a sweet advice in the form of Til and Gud 😳.

Actually if we closely look into whichever areas in connection to this festival, we find one or the other things that are related to Endings and New Beginnings.

I loved your post on Pongal and also read that you aren't sure what is done on third day. Till now you have already got your answers but if not, then it is Thanksgiving day to cattle(particularly bulls), which helps us to have bountiful harvest. Also the tale of Lord Shiva and Nandi Bull which I had posted is abt this day only.
