CM ka calendar is all over the place. Sais result ke pahle it was July 2019. So they can’t show maker Sankranti on the show anyway. Kite flying Gujaratis me in hai, Maharashtrian ka nahi pata but I’m guessing hota hoga.

Gudi parwa is new year of Maharashtrians but it's on 13 Apr I guess.
Makar Sankranti is a very important festival for Maharashtrians. We generally wear black and eat lots of tilgul in the form of ladoos and even Gulpoli (jaggery stuffed paratha, not puranpoli). We also make bhogichi Bhaji or a brinjal dish to mark the harvest. Or bhogiche bhaat (a rice preparation). We exchange the tilgul and say tilgul ghya ani godd godd Bola, meaning let's exchange sweetness in words and thoughts too.
There is no crazy kite flying like some other states but people may fly kites for fun. It's not ritualistically done.

Gujjus.fly kites. This year I saw only 8 kites nahi toh every year there are so many colorful kites flying in the blue sky.
Make.khichdo (rice and mixed pulses white khichdi) If it boils over it is believed it brings that much good luck.
In the evening we release 7 lanters strung togetherand wish for prosperity of the family in the coming year.
