I had already given up when it came to hoping that the show will be about women and child rehabilitation in a sensible way.

It is for sure now, that unnecessary drama will be a part of the show. But we can atleast have some sensible villains.

Soudamini was already a pain with her cheap antics. There was some hope with Greenwood but he left earlier than when logic left the show.

The only sad but well executed plot was Saurabh's death and Sampoorna's rescue. But now we have Munshi and the fake "jaano na" Shubra, who also have absolutely no class or nice expressions in their evil acts.

Atleast give us some good acting if not a logical storyline, please CVs!!!

Honestly, I don't understand the need for a villain in the show. If the storyline is about Bondita's journey to becoming a barrister with her husband's help, they should instead focus on real challenges, not sidey, typical TV-soap like vamps and villains.

No offense to anyone here but all this unnecessary negative drama is putting off..

I second you there! There is no need for unnecessary villains! Infact there was no need to kill Saurabh when all they could have done was send Saurabh and Sampoorna to Kolkata and temporarily end their track. They had addressed sati during Rudhita wedding. So y show it again?

Probably now they want to show widow remarriage

I know, but Indian TV has moved away from logical shows ages ago, that's why we have web series.

Slightly off topic, but there is a reason why another of my fav actors Barun Sobti shone amazingly in Asur, but all he was doing in his bumper hit IPKKND (season 1) was give stone-cold expressions and lift the female lead in his arms and look into her eyes.

Our soaps need drama and villians, but now we are getting caricatures.

There was a time ColorsTV made Balika Vadhu where Dadisa was so detestable, we actually hated her. But now they have tumbled down to Sasural Simar Ka levels.

But that's what Colors folks do, Barrister Babu is not the only one, we have so many, where they pick socially relevant topics and butcher it with stupid storylines.

Uttaran (Dignity of Labour), Bairi Piya (Farmer Suicides), Na Aana Is Des Lado (female infanticide), Bhagyavidhaata (groom kidnapping), Dil Se Dil Tak (Surrogacy), KrishnaDasi (Devdasi emancipation), Phulwa (dacoits), Udaan (casteism and bonded child labour), Devanshi (superstition and God men), Ishq ka rang Safed (widow remarriage), and ofcourse Shakti (LGBTQI)

Just some of the shows I started watching where you just cross 50 episodes and the social message flies out of the window and all people talk about is how deeply the male lead was staring into the female lead's eyes, love triangles, if the food was cooked properly or not, if they consummated their marriage or not, etc. etc.

To Binoy. Did you not see that episode where Trilochan locked her in the room. Binoy came and she fainted in his arms and the CVs were making it awkward between them. I hope this isn’t true cuz Mami is gonna be on cloud 9.

I agree with you. There was no need to kill Saurabh. Sati and atrocities against widows have already been addressed via Bondita and Sumati. Initially I thought it was Dev who chose to leave the show, maybe for another project or something. Hence I was okay with it as I always felt they never utilised Saurabh's character properly except as Nawab-e-Tulsania. But later I learnt that it was a sudden decision of the makers and was an actual shock to the entire cast and crew. I mean why kill Saurabh just to make Sampoorna a widow. They haven't shown the actual atrocities faced by a widow via Sampoorna at all, except Kaka's taunts. And now they are probably going to get her married to Binoy. But what purpose does that serve? Starting Saas-Bahu drama? If they actually wanted to show the problems of a widow and an actual track on the difficulties of widow remarriage during that era they could have easily utilised Bondita's mother Sumati. Post Heera Mandi they haven't been executing any of the tracks properly neither utilising characters properly. I mean, what a waste of a good actor like Jason for the role of Greenwood who was nothing but Mini's puppet.

Saurabhs death was useless..there were many angles to be explored in Saurabh as well as in his family members lives. He wanted to know how his mom tried to protect and love him and surmanis evil doing and all. Even samrav chemistry was incomplete..and munshis revenge what a phuski it is!!! He is a housekeeper so it's not hard for him to mix the poison why this DM drama and all?! Let's hope after this track something sensible will be shown
