Yeah but isn't that the whole point? Ultimately, when years later these lists are written, no one cares what the TRPs of an individual show were, just that the shows existed and were popular. That's why I say, TRPs are no indicator of popularity really, and aside from channel pressures, makers usually don't care much about them either. As long as people are talking about their shows, they'll keep making them, no matter the content.

I agree in the end TRP is just a money making outdated mechanism. It’s sad that a lot of good shows with amazing actors ended early because of this. At the end a show is remembered for the chAracters. I don’t think anyone can tell you the TRP of KSBKBT or KGGK. All they remember is Tulsi and Parvati. Like with Naagin people still talk about Rivanya ( haven’t watched that season) but my understanding is that it’s a cult favourite.

Ah, now I remember one point in the lifespan of KGGK (think it was the Janki track) when the TRP reached 18 😆 I mean, woh zamaane gaye of TRPs getting anywhere near that high, but I remember this one vividly because even for that time, this was a record. On average at that time I think TRPs achieved between 10 and 12 regularly.

But yes, in general, people don't remember these numbers. And tbh, aside from people like us who frequent forums/social media, aam junta who watch these shows don't care a bit about what numbers they're achieving. They just watch what they like, and stop when they don't.

Yeah, people seem to love the N1 jodi a lot (and conversely hate the second season jodi/ML. I've seen so many people say recently that it sparked the downfall of the series, the jodi of N2).

Those days TRP used to be calculated differently right? Cannot remember how but I do remember it changed. Also I think when Mihir came back from the dead when Tulsi Got married was another TRP record 😆ITV needs a new way of figuring this out because it’s not working. Maybe in the next twenty years it will.

lol s2 apparently is the one to skip some of the stuff people have said about it. I’m like thank god I haven’t watched any of the previous seasons. I’m just here for VANI. Everything else I am like Indian supernatural storylines
