Maybe in the next twenty years it will.

lol s2 apparently is the one to skip some of the stuff people have said about it. I’m like thank god I haven’t watched any of the previous seasons. I’m just here for VANI. Everything else I am like Indian supernatural storylines

I don't really know how they were calculated, but I guess they must have been different. Also, no online streaming/platforms/leaks on YouTube etc. You had your channels on TV, and that was it 😆 plus those shows were endlessly repeated throughout the week, again because there wasn't much else in the way of content.

Oh yeah, Mihir's return - the first "back from the dead" moment, the one that launched a gazillion "back from the dead" heroes 🤣 I remember hearing about people leading literal morchas to EK's house/Balaji studios in Mumbai when Mihir "died". They were distraught. I don't know for sure if this is why, but I feel like that's the only reason they brought Mihir back, the backlash 😆

TBH, it's not just ITV that struggles with ratings systems. Even US shows rely too heavily on Nielsen ratings when, again, not everyone in the US even has a Nielsen box at home to record those ratings, on top of which people like us who watch internationally can't contribute to those ratings anyway. Plus Netflix doesn't even bother explaining how it calculates its ratings - all you have to do apparently is let any content autoplay for like 30 seconds (which is what they often do involuntarily on the main homepage), and that apparently adds to the ratings/popularity of that show, which leads to Netflix proclaiming that certain shows (that they themselves heavily promoted and thrust in everyone's faces 😕) are the "most popular/watched" shows but even popular shows are cancelled at will by the powers that be, who knows for what reasons. So yeah...TRPs ka poora funda hi weird hai.

ITV supernatural shows are terrible IMO in general (I remember reading about how one normal, non-supernatural saas bahu show turned supernatural randomly and featured the FL turning into a makkhi out of nowhere?! 🤣) but the whole ITV formula is tired. If you're having to produce content daily for 6 days a week, with no breaks or proper "seasons", no episodes in the bank (not like other shows which film in a block and have proper breaks for the talent), then no wonder you rely on gimmicks to keep people interested. As that meme you posted yday, other industries have seasons, ITV just has thousands of episodes 😆

Remember the time we had to wait for ages for someone to upload the episode on a website somewhere - the struggle 😆

Though I am the type that records it and then watches it later so I don't need to sit through all those ADs so impatient I tell you 😆
